This essentially killed the shoe game. Resellers are considered the lowest of the lows. People should wake up and realize for the time and effort spent there is way more effective ways to make money.

I don't think there's anything wrong with being the middle man in any particular business. Blame the actual companies creating super exclusive products to create hype and demand to the point where people kill each other over it. Now that's evil. Jordan probably laughs with a fat cigar in his mouth when he reads those homicidal headlines

Funny when you title it "that feel when you cop"
It's not authentic. You're not actually excited about getting the shoe, you're excited about making money. That is the lowest of the low when you're an avid shoe collector. Title should be "That feel when you cash in a check"
The fact you got the shoe is irrelevant.

What does that have to do with the last thing I posted? You're still bottom of the barrel reseller who's thread title is still misleading.

Regardless, really really think you're gonna bank that much? I've stopped collecting 8 years ago but I can still find those shoes if I tried, and probably for cheaper. Any shoe collector is savy enough to track these down. I'll bet you get $30, maybe $40 tops on top of what you payed. After the countless low balling you'll get you'll end up settling with a 15% mark up.

"I'm gonna put it on eBay for double"

Also good luck trying to find these, they sold out in less than 30 seconds online and the only in store releases were in the UK & Japan.

I've never had a problem before. I've copped prototypes in the past. I've also got player editions. Like I said, collectors always find a way.
Checking ebay and actually selling them are 2 different things. I've put XI Carolina lows on ebay. It could be bid up until whenever, the actual price you sell is a different thing. Like I said, good luck. They'll probably collect dust before you sell them

No that kid is a smart business man. He can sell it and then buy it at normal price later. I've never understood people like you. No one is forcing people to buy 1k shoes. If a transaction occurs, both parties are satisfied. No one NEEDS these shoes. They chose to spend 1k. They wanted to spend 1k. This guy isn't Martin Skreli these are ugly shoes not life saving medicine.

Lol, I guess sentiment means nothing in this day and age. Let's hope that the wife and the kids don't leave for a better situation, because you know, it's financially better.
Besides, you missed the point. Didn't knock the hustle. Knocking the fact that the thread title suggested he was stoked about buying an exclusive shoe. He was excited about making money. I said in a previous post if the thread title was "yo, lucked out on some J's, gonna flip for some profit," I wouldn't have even typed a letter in this thread. But when the thread suggest you, "I'm stoked about copping these shoes...." as a shoe collector, I can appreciate. Even if he kept them for a bit and sold them later. It wasn't about the shoe, it was the prospect of profiting. And being part of the shoe game for nearly 20 years, that's disrespectful. But hey, the millenials are taking over. Got make way

Autofill
It's not like those people who buy bots and shit, it just fills out your info automatically. You still have to press and click checkout yourself. People who use bots get ip banned sometimes but auto fill always works I think

Also this is only for supreme, which resells for a lot( even their other stuff like clothes). I never bought off Nike or adidas before

Also Supreme drops every Thursday at 11am est. if ur in school you can cop off your phone with some app I think

Just wait 6 month when Cocaine80s gets desperate and sells for a 15% mark up like every reseller. But by then the shoe will lose its luster and you'll move on to the next hot item
But if you're interested now it's as easy as hit the biggest FL in your city and get info on the drops or get on Niketalk.com. You'll get pointed in the right direction.

I feel you, it was disingenuous how he worded it, but there are plenty of people who demonize selling products at high(er) prices even though there is clearly demand for it. In my eyes, they're just upset they didn't get the best deal. Why isn't it just as bad that say, Lambo dealerships get cars at a discount and then sell them up? Why is it bad when an individual does it, not a business?

Also, I don't want to get into personal insults here, but your wife and kids analogy was just awful, on quite a few levels. However, the rest of your post makes sense and I did miss your original point.

My apologies if you took it as an insult. I was trying to emphasize my point. It may have been dramatic. I don' t really wish that on you. But if something as giving a kid a present and the kid goes and sells it for a profit, then what the hell is sacred anymore? Life is just one big profit stream at that point. Family is just a business agreement. Finding a good deal and selling it for a profit is not a bad thing at all. Reselling something meant for bringing some joy to a person is pretty despicable. But I guess I'm just old fashioned to believe that great gestures are meant to be sentimental.

In the bigger picture it's no big deal at all. Having a product in demand and selling it for profit is the American dream. The context of the thread and how it was presented is something that most shoe collectors would find offensive. The kid said he was doing the world a favor. How exactly does the world benefit from it?
I've bought concert tickets to resell for more. I've resold my shoes many times. If this was a profitable transaction then I genuinely say good for him.

The market for these isnt really set yet, as they were only released overseas and online. All the orders from supreme on thurs prolly havent even shipped yet, and I doubt some people flew all the way to japan just to cop then flew back over lol

People are overpricing them right now cause the hype alone, but I could see these going for around 800 in a few weeks. shit, OVO jordans are still 1k+

It's a crapshoot. But most who've sought after the shoe most likely have found the means to get them. The resellers will probably profit but it's a grind. A $600 mark up is ambitious. Maybe 5% of the resellers catch that luck. Most will get offers of a 10% mark up. People that buy from resellers are even more ambitious. You also don't want to wait too long and the value will diminish. I've sat on Olympics for over 10 years that Flight Club valued at over a grand. I put it up for 300 and to this day I still get low balled. IDK, maybe it's different, and I've never personally had trouble buying a shoe I wanted, nor have I paid regular retail. I guess kid's today have more disposable cash if that were the case.

I tried to cop a size 8.5 space jams back in high school. So thankful the guy was asking way out of my range of $225, he asked for $280. I thought he was ripping me off at the time but I later found out from another big sneaker guy I knew that it was a pretty good deal. I ended up being size 10.5 soon after so buying them would have been pointless (weird growth spurt at the end of high school kicked in).

I tried getting his offer down at the highest of $250 but he didn't cave.

Dodged a bullet there.
