The reason why he injuries his knee ligaments and other parts of his legs is because of his landing. His biomechanics when he lands are so bad. When he lands after a layup or a dunk before his acl tear he would literally stomp the ground when he lands. His landings created wear because of ground impacts. This cause micro tears in his knees because of the amount of times he lands like this in game over long season. The guy in the video explains it well. Guys like Lebron or Kobe or Jordan are smooth in their landings when they land after dunk or layup. They increase the time of their landing while D Rose stops abruptly creating more impact on his body.
