I think Artest gave them a little pep talk. They were very aggressive, played together and played with confidence. But its pre season so we will see if this translates to the regular season. But they definitely have a future.

Still haven't seen enough from Russell that makes me confident in his ability as a starting PG. Still looks shook out there.

Even saying that, he is still a rookie and Jordan Clarkson (who looks amazing right now) didn't start looking good last season until after All-star break.

30 games max. People remember this is preseason. The only teams really playing hard are the bad teams. The Warriors, Cavs, Clippers, Spurs, etc don't care about the preseason. They can lose every preseason game and it doesn't matter to them.

Lakers have lots of potential but are still unproven. With a little luck and no injuries this team could conceivably be in the hunt for the 8th spot in the west.
