Just posting this to get the ball rolling on this game's discussion. Knowing ISH, the thread was unlikely to be initiated without Kobe playing. :rolleyes:

Tarik Black = by far the most underrated Lakers-player from the bevy of rookies and sophomores aboard.

Last season, he was respectably efficient on a very limited modicum of touches, was as prolific as a rebounder as they could have asked out of the then-rookie, and he's been one of the more emergently promising defenders.

Despite all those propitious signs, he's been lumped with the ilk of Robert Sacre in regards to minutes allotted, despite how he's already established himself as a shoo-in for a second-string slot on the roster. :facepalm

Am I the only one who's investing confidence into the trajectory of this kid's career? He has all the physical makeup and decision-making poise needed to succeed as an above-average role-player at least; he's just been scarcely tapped into.

Unlikely that his potential really will protract this game. So far, he's been the recipient of minimal touches, as he isn't even the outlet of the inbound passes; Jordan Clarkson is, who oftentimes coalesces with him playing-time-wise

Lillard looks faster and has better balance on his step back shots. His legs got stronger. Still taking terrible shots but they look better than last year.

Blazers made a good move dumping Batum. The guy doesn't care about the NBA. He cares more about playing in France all summer and other bullshit. He never improved after his 3rd season. Where you look at a guy like Wesley Matthews who continued to get better every single season.

The stupid move Portland made was not keeping Wesley Matthews. I think he would have stayed for less money. They didn't even make an offer. That was an insult.
