To be fair, Boogie hasn't been surrounded by many good players his entire career. We'll see how he fairs this year now that his team looks solid (on paper at least).

Gasol is definitely better defensively and perhaps as a vocal leader, but up until now, it looks though as if Boogie has been the more dominant player overall.

I've been so caught up in my own team's Stanley Johnson hype that I never realized until now that he's not even on the radar for being a Rookie of the Year possibility, nor is there any chance he's the best from the class within five years. Considering even Myles Turner got a vote, I figured Johnson would pop up somewhere in there but no dice. Eight GM's think he'll be the steal of the draft though, so that's something.

I think its more a reflection that Detroit is not on anyone's radar. Hopefully your boy can raise their profile. All it takes is a break out season.

The only thing that kind of surprises me about the survey is Lebron being the MVP favorite. That's not to say he isn't capable, but at this stage in his career I think he cares more about winning a title than an MVP. That means preserving himself to some degree during the regular season.
