Was there anyone in history who can beat Roy Jones Jr at that weight?
He seems to have that aura of invincibility.

Just look at the videos you posted.
Sergey is a great boxer no doubt, but Roy was on a different level.

Y'all must forgot, Roy Jones and his mismandatories. The fact that he refused to fight his greatest challenger and HBO let him cherrypicked his opponent made him look invincible.
You probably gonna have to look at some of the greatest puncher at that weight like Bob Foster to beat a prime Roy Jones.

Jones.
Sergey couldn't even knock out an 87 year old Bernard Hopkins.

Nah he just clinically dominated a guy for twelve consecutive rounds who I don't think has ever hit the canvas in his entire career. No big deal.

He's a racist though and will always blindly support the black guy over any white man.

Hopkins was pushing 50 in that fight. 5-0.
RJJ beat a far superior version of the same fighter.

He dominated a 50 year old guy, did you forget that part? The boogie man of the current light heavyweight division. Can't put gramps away.

:lol
Yes, down with the white man!

The Hopkins that RJJ beat was a crude brawler. Maybe he was closer to his prime physically but not boxing skills. The old Hopkins would have taken that version to school.:oldlol:

Lol @ maybe.
Hopkin's was FIFTY when he fought Kovalev, grandfather age. The guy is a genetic marvel, but he isn't beating the 29-year old version of himself, come on now.
Bottom line, prime RJJ had too much speed and power for Kovalev--his defense has too many holes.

The young version of Hopkins struggled with a pedestrian fighter like Mercado while the old version schooled guys like Pavlik and Shemunov:confusedshrug:
The old version looks way more impressive, his defense, the way he used the ring to control and distance and dictate the tempo, the way he throw combination and the lead right compare to the young version where he just comes forward and throwing combination and hoping to land his big right hand.
Regarding RJJ perhaps he can outpoint Kovolev because of his speed and that roid boosting power:rolleyes:

So in your deluded, retarded mind, because Kovalev was fighting a 49 year old he should've done reckless shit and gone for a knockout instead of giving a systematic technical beatdown for 12 rounds? Makes perfect sense.
Oh well I am sure if Floyd did it you'd call him a technical genius.

Yeah, because Russian-born Alexei Kovalev is totally clean. :lol
They even dope their gymnasts in those parts.

Roy Jones Athleticism is too much for Kovalev. In the Camparello fight he was knocked down by Blake in the first round. RJJ handspeeds might gave him some problems, And he was 36 yrs.old when he was KO'ed by Tarver.

Kovalev should have sent him into a retirement home, but he couldn't do it. Hell, Chad Dawson decision-ed B-Hop also. A younger one at that, lol.
Sergey vs. prime Chad Dawson would actually be a good scrap.
And the thing about Floyd is, if he did it the roles would be reversed. He'd be the older guy clowning the young guns.

Why the f*ck are some of you acting like styles don't make fights?
Let's ignore the fact that RJJ was better at EVERYTHING than Sergey and let's just argue about which version of Hopkins was better.
