What are they doin. They kept Sacre over Upshaw because they liked his locker room presence and he has guaranteed 1 mill. Upshaw is already a better player than that bald cheerleader. :facepalm Bad move

What did you like about Upshaw?

What did you like about Upshaw?

His defensive presence and the fact that he's not a total dump of a player like Sacre.

a bit disappointing.

give him a year in the dleague, another few months of conditioning, and theres no reason to think he cant be an off the bench rim protector with potential to start.

Byron never seemed to like him all that much. Never praised him in post games interviews (even when he made great plays), when he would praise players that had total shit games

teams with room to spend, like the sixers, might as well offer him a contract

Hell, even dallas wouldnt be a bad idea.

Disappointed also. I rather have Upshaw and see if he can develop. Sacre is more like a practice player.

Upshaw was inconsistent.

At least Sacre brings energy, that boy Robert Upshaw looked drunk out there last night.

Is he good? Can the Cavs get him?

Upshaw another dude with potential who fans get hype about but his career is over before it even begins :oldlol:

Meh he'll find another team most likely. He's a project but he can be well worth it.

Nah, They just kept him because Kobe wanted someone to chill with while he's sidelined on the bench due to injury from old age.

I kind of liked Jabari Brown, but we are loaded with guards unfortunately

Huertas is the responsible, he made Sacre look like a basketball player

i honestly felt the same way last night. not a slight to clarkson, but hes not good at running the pick and roll as a passer, yet. so every time upshaw set a high screen for him, clarkson would over dribble in the paint and force a bad pass at the wrong time through a crowded defense

Upshaw never had the luck of playing with huertas, who could/would have made him looked very passable as a pnr big man.

At least Tarik Black is the back up center. Far far better than both players.

I predicted this partway through last night's preseason outing; after administering the eye test on his performance last night, I can't say I have any major grievances as well. Last night's game has proven to be his last chance to try out, yet his defense

It was expected, Sacre's contract is already guaranteed and Upshaw has done nothing to impress anyone as of right now. Good luck in the Dleague to him, I was hyped at first cause I saw 4.5bpg, but we would of been better off giving Cliff Alexander a chance.

I can't help but think that what happened to Odom probably gave them pause about signing another unstable player with a history of drug use.

I'm surprised Upshaw cleared waivers. The Lakers got a break on that as he'll sign with the D-Fenders. He looks like he lost 20lbs over the summer and was in great shape, really put out a lot of effort out there but it was all for nothing.

Anyone can sign him from the D-Fenders

He was kicked out of two colleges and nearly a third. Has admitted himself that he has substance abuse problems. It's no surprise not many teams want to take a chance on him yet, if he is really turning his life around they'll let him do some time in the d-league and then talk to his d-league coach for a reference.

Seems like he has turned for the better but that absence of college (2 years worth of ball) has him behind the learning curve. Could easily become a very servieable player if he keeps his head straight in the d-league.

Yeah just takes time to prove he has turned it around. Could have been an issue if they kept him and he went back to his old ways on a squad with some young players like L.A has currently. Could be a bad influence.

I actually like Upshaw on the D league for now so he could develop by having more play time rather than sitting on the bench. Hopefully we will get him back during the middle of the season
