This is a very strange question. The 2011 Celtics won 56 games. They were a contender THAT season, without all of their players being in their prime. They were even a contender the following season, making it to the ECF. The 2011 Celtics as they were constructed would be a top 2 team in the east. If they were all in their primes they'd be by far the greatest team ever assembled. (not counting Olympic teams of course)

I remember the ECSF matchup getting hyped up almost like a finals, and a lot of people had the Celtics winning. I actually think if the Celtics had won that series they would have went on to win the title.

Because nothing was done in secret (we all knew that Lebron, Wade and Bosh had met beforehand and Danny had been trying to trade for KG for a couple of years) and nothing either team did was anywhere close to illegal. Danny gave up a ton of assets for KG and Ray and Lebron, Wade and Bosh were all unrestricted free agents with every right to do what they did.

No one cheated. No one did anything illegal.
