Kobe
2005 - 34-48 miss playoffs
2006- 45-37 lose 4-3 in the 1st round
2007- 42-40 lose 4-1 in the 1st round
2015 - 21-61 miss playoffs
2016- ???
Jordan
1985 - 38-44 lose 1-3 in the 1st round
1986- 30-52 lose 0-3 in the 1st round
1987- 40-42 lose 0-3 in the 1st round
2002 - 37-45 miss playoffs
2003- 37-45 miss playoffs
FYI notice how Jordans record is below .500 every season without Pippen in his career. Forget winning playoff games, he apparently couldnt win regular season games also
So who are you taking?

The guy that doesn't know how to lose once he's in the finals.
The GOAT, Jordan.
Kobe, while the GOAT of his own era, unfortunately didn't have that "I don't know how to lose in the finals" mentality, so Kobe is the runner up.
Both are worlds ahead of Bron however when it comes to knowing how to win in the finals.

You are creepily obsessed with losing in the Finals. I don't think you've ever made a post not mentioning it, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that

:oldlol: Definitely in Kobe's case. MJ was without a doubt first option, but he clearly needed Pippen's intellect and mental toughness to teach him how to win.

Even that I'm not too sure about :lol
1st option as in he chucked the most shots? sure, but that chucking cost them games, like Jordans infamous 5/19 (not quite a 6/24 but close enough)
In terms of overall dominance, Pippen was clearly above Jordan however

Kobe won FMVP in 2009/2010 even though we all knew Gasol was better :confusedshrug:
And Curry won MVP but the playoffs showed us he wasnt the most dominant player on his team :confusedshrug:

Strange how Jordan is the one with 5 MVP's, 10 scoring titles, a DPOY, and 6 FMVP's. Weird stuff indeed.

So you expect MJ is Goat in his first 3 years in nba?
You ignored the fact that MJ broken his foot missing 64 games in his second year and played against the champion boston in the first round?
Do you know Boston was a team that make 4 consecutive final from 1984-1987?
Do you even know how bad was wizard before 39 MJ joined them?

why do people ask "what did kobe do without gasol"
the only guys who won with lower ranked all time 2nd options were
hakeem olajuwon
rick barry
bill walton
dennis johnson
bob pettit
dirk nowitzki
gasol is a barely adequate sidekick in order to compete for a title

2005 - 34-48 miss playoffs Yeah because he got injured and missed like 16 games. Odom got hurt too that year, their record wasn't half bad when everyone were healthy.

2007- 42-40 lose 4-1 in the 1st round

Gasol was far better than anyone besides Duncan on the 03 Spurs.
parker averaged 16 and 5
which is basically his career average
just because he wasnt an established hall of famer YET doesnt take away the talent he possessed at a young age
gasol was slightly better at the time. but allot of what gasol did was based off kobes ability to draw double teams in their pick and rolls together
allot of parkers game is initiated by parker. not the attention defenses give to duncan
parker is self reliant. gasol isnt.

Parker was 20 years old, and averaged 15 and 4 in the playoffs.
Gasol in 09 and 10 was obviously a superior player to Parker in 2003.

Never said he sucked.
Duncan averaged more APG in the playoff run than Parker did. He hardly ran the offense.
Parker also shot terribly and was not a good decision-maker at that time.
Popovich would play Speedy Claxton in crucial moments.
Not the same as Duncan from 2014. And that wasn't even the point in the first place.

Kobe is GOAT second option. He was honestly just as good as Shaq during their '01 WC playoff run.
But since then Gasol was easily one of, if not the best championship second option

wtf :biggums: :biggums:
2000-2002 Finals stats
Shaq 36/15 on 57%
Kobe 22/5 on 42%
Not really GOAT 2nd option

'01 & '02 Kobe was
But Shaq was the GOAT peak (or at least close)
So irrelevant on how good Kobe was the differential between the 1st and 2nd option was similar to many championship teams.
You still cant discredit how nuch better Shaq was than Kobe, regardless of Kobe's individual production

Why do people always desperately bring up Gasol as if hes even notable to kobe's runs. He's a bum compared to Pippen:lol .
In reality:
Kobe without Shaq: 2 championships
MJ without Pippen: automatic 1st round exit ever year:facepalm
Pippen without MJ: Damn near won a championship with the same team:facepalm
Do you know what "damn near" means?
