Why would anyone buy a Derrick Rose shoe? Or an Adidas shoe for that matter, to ball in?

Isn't the whole point of a basketball shoe to prevent lower body injuries from happening while maximizing mobility on a basketball court?

I tend to think that something's the matter with adidas. I'm sure some MD out there can explain to me in great detail why no shoe could have prevented these freak injuries. But I'll never believe them enough to play high-level basketball in a pair of Derrick Rose shoes.
