View Full Version : Why is Lebron the only star player with elite athleticism that is boring to watch?

Numbers aside I would rather watch Westbrook, Griffin or even Deandre Jordan because they are entertaining on most nights.

Because he stops the ball, holds onto it too long, and doesn't have much to offer in the skill department, other than with some flashy passes here and there

Did you watch Lebron in 2009 and 2010? Or were you too young?

He ran some of the shittiest offense I have ever seen for two finals in a row. How a man can manage to make the nba finals boring as hell for 2 finals in a row is beyond me

no moves, no shooting touch = mechanical style, bricking and ugly shot
lebron is the forward version of dwight howard... rigid, stone hands, and not someone whose jumpshooting you'd ever want to watch

LeBron is basically a 6' 8" tin man that the Wizard of Oz gave basketball skills.

He's an elite athlete but he's somewhat rigid, like 3ball said, so he can't do a lot of things that make him more impactful on the basketball court, like sudden change of direction, quickness, quick first step, etc.
If you want proof, just watch highlight video dunks of MJ and him. With MJ, you will see him attack the basket from every way imaginable. With Bron, most of his dunks are either in transition or after he has turned the corner at the top of the key and has a couple of steps to get momentum going. He lacks the variation of an MJ type player in his offensive game.

lol @ boring to watch.
Yeah, somehow watching a 6'8" 250 pound behemoth with the leaping ability of
Julius, the passing ability of Erving, the speed of Allen, and the coordination and hands of Randy Moss is..... boring. :oldlol:
Boring. Somehow boring. To the nonathletic pale virgins that inhibit this message board.
You wouldn't know exciting if it slapped you in your red blotchy face. Nor does your opinion on the subject of impressive sportsmen hold any weight, unlike your mother, who holds a ton of it.
Between his all-time great transition game (either finishing alley-oops or transition dunks or creating an opportunity for someone else) , his legendary chase down blocks, his highlight passing reels, his versatility on defense, his overall swagger and leadership....
He's arguably the most exciting, forget basketball player, but most exciting athlete ever.
In terms of pure athleticism he's the GOAT and there is no argument. So there's that.

The better question is: WHO THE FVCK CARES? Do what I do and DON'T WATCH THE GAMES. Stick to the boxscores AFTER his games, It did wonders for me.
