I'm starting to think that Green really can't guard Randle.

stalkerforlife
10-22-2015, 10:17 PM
Okay...Randle can play.

Never thought i'd say that.

Dude is strong and can get to the rim with ease.

That 1st qtr was a perfect demonstration of the difference between good instant offense (Williams) and bad (Young).

D'Angelo Russell. :facepalm

This is one of your last chances to prove yourself to overcome Byron Scott's stubborn stance against rookies. Focus on your biggest strength in playmaking, not shot-jackery.

the starters should be

PG - Jordan Clarkson
SG - Lou Williams
SF - Kobe Bryant
PF - Julius Randle
C - Roy Hibbert

I wouldn't be surprised to see Michael Huertas start at this rate, as it'd fill in a hole for a catalytic playmaker. He's been consistently outperforming the rookie Point Guard in that regard for his minuted limits, and while there's going to be a transcultural transition, he has the experience under his belt to attest that he's more NBA-ready by far.

I expect D'Angelo Russell to take over the starting-Point Guard incumbency midway through this season, as he has much more potential that simply needs time to actualize, but it looks like this will stunt his Rookie of the Year chances mightily. :/

oh the horror

I gotta be honest boys, Russell is green as hell. That kid needs a lot of time. We aren't going to see much but flashes this season.

% Nick Young.

72 points at half time for the Warriors; that illustrates all you need to know about Byron Scott's brilliant defensive system.

He was a decent coach in more old-school times; but even then, his teams' successes have been more strongly correlated to two on-court coaches in Chris Paul and Jason Kidd

To be fair, about 10 of those points were crazy and-1's and broken plays.

And the Warriors played their starters way more than the lakers.

And the best shooting team in history was on fire.

Let the kid play one NBA game ok?

He's just latent talent, which is common for Point Guards. No position has a bigger learning curve to traverse than Point Guards, considering how discrepant the game-speed continuum is between college and the NBA.

He most likely won't win Rookie of the Year due to the likelihood of being a late bloomer; but even if he loses the proverbial sprint, it doesn't mean he won't have merited his draft-standing in the long run of it.

Grant Hill being an impatient hater.

Russell had 2 good games this preseason and has yet to play a regular season game.

The Duke connection I guess.

Byron Scott always seemed overrated to my eye, suspect lineups and rotations going back to the Nets.
