WHAT IF Cleveland was going to sign Wade instead of LeBron in the summer of 2014 because they didn't think they could get LeBron back but as soon as LeBron heard Wade was going to bolt he told Wade:

"Look, Wade.... Miami is your's, meng."
"I'm taking that spot with Cleveland."

Wade:
"Are you crazy? You can re:up in Miami and make it your team. Me and Haslem is GONE."

LeBron:
"Nah, amigo. Not gonna happen."

Hell no.

That team wouldn't even get out of the East.

WHAT IF THIS TRADE THEN HAPPENED:

C : Mozgov/Varejao
PF: Thompson/Haslem
SF: Mr. Flattop
SG: Wade/Smith
PG: Irving

Still not getting out of the East and no way in hell winning a title.

Also, you're underestimating the impact of LeBron. There's a reason the Cavs became a lottery team after LeBron left. Yes, we give him hell, but he's still one of best players the league has ever seen. Take LeBron off the Cavs, right now, and they're not getting out of the East, let alone title favorites as some NBA GMs have predicted.

Here's their 2015 numbers (not that they'd be identical on this hypothetical team, but just for reference).

Irving: 22/5/3 on 47%
Wade: 22/5/4 on 47%
Wiggins: 17/2/5 on 43%
Thompson: 9/8 on 55%
Verejao: 10/7 on 56%

That's a nice back court and a potential star in Wiggins but they don't have much size, iffy outside shooting, and zero rim protection. Assuming Wiggins indeed becomes a star, Irving continues his development, and Wade maintains solid all-star play for a couple more years, they would be a threat in the east but I'd have a hard time seeing them winning a title.

Wiggins would not average near that number
