I thought Artest was the strongest perimeter defender in NBA History, BUT LOOK.

Not enough Girth, Not enough Size, just not THICK enough for the King

Probably because that was a pretty clear foul.

Once lebrons manhood got inside the paint it was over. He used his 3rd leg to get the balance advantage. Much like a cat uses his tail.

nobody could ever guard James in the post if he developed that area of his game. too bad James wanted to be Allen Iverson.

Playing with Kobe tends to cause your morale to shrivel up. A defensive posture that was once strong, rigid and erect became very limp and impotent under the tutelage of Kobe :(

Altho Kobe is still my fav player

Aggressively establishing position down low is a foul now?
If that's a foul then Shaq wouldn't last 5 minutes.

I don't understand how people complain about how soft the league is and then bitch about the slightest contact at the same time.

This exactly.

He doesn't have the work ethic to develop a dependable post game so he settles for long 2s knowing his jumper is broken as hell.

So apparently you can check the **** out of someone on offense in this era, but not on defense.

Seems legit :oldlol:

It's late, and maybe my eyes are failing me.... But it looks like Artest tried to flop?

He literally hooked with his right hand than switched with a hook to his right hand while establishing. This caused Artest to lose balance. Not a LeBron hater either, so this post is non-bias. Just look at the GIF real close to catch the hooks.

Yep, Lebron should have modelled his game after Charles Barkley.

He has developed it and just like you said nobody can guard him there, no Hakeem obviously, but he is pretty much unguardable there, he often doesnt even need to make a move, just back his guy down all the way under the rim 24-7 from even the 3pt line, kindof like Shaq there considering anybody at his position/perimeter are weaker or smaller (even PFs & many Cs).... but again, this is not 1on1, there are 3-4 guys zoning behind, thats the only thing which causes him to settle for a jumpshot or pass.... or try instead facing up his man to blow by/explode in fast a millisec. before that inevitable C/PF wall (who will either foul him or make a flop/try take charge, no matter the case he will not have an easy dunk/layup shot) has been initiated behind.

Yea, because Artest is such a clean player, you bet your ass if Artest could have out-muscled LeBron he'd have done it.

So that negates the foul?

Yes, but that wasn't a foul, didn't Artest complain the lleague has gone soft compared to when he started?

What foul?

Tussling for post position is a foul now? Do people not realize how much contact goes on in the NBA? Go to a fricken game, sit close, and listen as they bump into each other the whole time, and at times knock air out of each other with contact.

People act as if it is soft today, but don't have a clue. So much goes on off the ball.

And that is why he only has 3-5 years left in the league.

Yet he couldn't post up JJ Barea and his teammates

Well when you get shit on by guys like JJ, Terry, Kwahi, and Iggy... the result is 2/6.

What a GOAT. At those percentages, Lebron's more likely to win a ring than Kobe is to sink his next jumper. Universes apart.
