From a league standpoint it ain't good. You need to build momentum. It's a loooooooooooooooong season..... You want good opening night games but not THE best. People need to look forward to Christmas and beyond.

It doesnt make sense because Cleveland or GS would have to travel cross country for one game. Teams plan these trips in groups. Cleveland plays GS around the same time they play Sacramento and Portland and Utah etc. all in one trip.

Reg season you need to get into a groove before you play some of the best teams and really measure yourself.

Having it first would not give either team a legit gauge. Measuring stick games should be later in the season


We aint have ball in months, I could watch the two shittiest teams play and be happy

Why not kick off the season with a marquee match up? Been gone for a long while, and to have it back with a bang would make plenty of people happy

i'd say cavs/bulls is pretty marquee. The west matchup coulda been better tho, but the NBA is really pushing AD hard (no hate more power to ADGod but yea)
