So when KD has a good game and wb a bad game you will still make this thread right

WB got a taste of that alpha life and I don't think he has any plans of going back. This man wants the World and everything in it.

And no one's gonna stop him. :crazysam:

In what way? He's the more efficient player, but I think you do have to take everything into account when coming to the conclusion of better player. Westbrook seems to have the better intangibles, intensity, motor, etc while still being a very well-rounded and skilled basketball player in his own right.

Did you watch the '14 season or are you just basing your shit off of the first game of the season?

Batman and Robin would be the correct term.

Did you watch the '15 season? Because Westbrook had a far inferior team to Durant's '14 squad while also missing quite a few games himself along with Ibaka, etc and still dominated more than any PG since Oscar, nearly single-handedly willing his team to the play offs. The boy is a certified beast and won't be denied. Even Treeball, biggest MJ stan by an airfield, thinks GOATbrook is the PG Jordan. I think that speaks enough for itself.

He. Missed. The. Playoffs. KD carried his team to 59 wins and the WCF.

:oldlol: @ WB being PG Jordan. MJ possibly had the GOAT IQ and WB is quite the opposite.

Are you actually saying that '15 WB > Magic?

That KD is dead, injuries stunted him and WB is now the man for OKC.

If Westbrook played the whole season, OKC would have made the playoffs based on their winning % when he played.

Sure, but not enough to win 59 games. WB is a beast, but KD is a flat out better player.

What about missing Ibaka? You think that had any effect? When Westbrook was injured, his replacement was Reggie Jackson. When Durant was gone, Kyle Singler was his replacement

C'mon man, be serious.

WB is by far the alpha of OKC. KD gonna step back and watch Russ get this MVP :pimp:

Wait, what? It's pretty definitive that Westbrook was the second best player in the play offs that year, so how did he carry them to the WCF? They lose to the Grizzlies if not for Reggie Jackson for crying out loud.

I'm not disagreeing with you about the FACT that WB had a worse team, but even with the '14 team, do you see WB winning 59 games? Dude was TERRIBLE in the clutch. I remember him losing a bunch of close games. Dude shot 50% TS in the clutch, compared to 60% for KD. It's not even like WB had a historic statistic season either. KD finished the season with 32/8/6 on 64% and WB finished with 28/7/9 on 54% TS.

WB WAS the 2nd best player. Who said anything otherwise?

KD averaged 30/9/4 on 57% TS and people still shit on him for that. Dude still put up 30/10/3 on 54% TS in that series and closed it out with a 33/8 game on 80% TS. Westbrook was a flat-out beast in that game 7 though.

I mean are you guys forgetting what KD did literally 2 years ago?

It was only one game but Westbrook has asserted himself as the team's leader for some time now.

Why does Westbrook defer to Durant down the stretch?

...

All that matters. As long as KD is the closer, he's the alpha.

When Westbrook starts closing games in the 4th I'll say he's the leader.

The best player of the team is the automatic Alpha... which is Durant... Westbrook is more of a cocky, overconfident, selfish, trashtalking, thinking he is better than he is... guy.... a beta desperately wanting to be the Alpha...
