This is why I've always been a huge fan of this guy.
24 points on 8/24, 1 assist.
Called timeout on a fastbreak with 4 seconds left in the game because he didn't have the ball.
Inbounds the ball to a journeyman and doesn't get it back, loses to the Minnesota Timberwolves after leading most of the game.
So much nostalgia. Reminds me of the No-Shaq-or-Pau Era Kobe.

Sorry, I meant a journeyman, I was thinking about a different point I was going to make about one of the rookies and typed that instead.
*Inbounded to a journeyman*
My fault. I stand corrected.

24 points 24 shots! Efficient!
My thoughts exactly.
1 point per shot is pretty good honestly.
50% efficiency.

Isn't it funny how people think Kobe is so clutch, yet he missed every shot he took in the 4th quarter?

he made 3 FTs, so technically he didn't miss every "shot".

Free throws don't count.
FTs are shots from the FT line
you said he missed every shot
the correct answer would have been "he missed every FIELD GOAL ATTEMPT"

I don't think anyone beyond casual fans thinks he's clutch. With youtube and all the sites that track clutch stats it's been widely known by hardcore fans that he's not very clutch.

Did the Lakers not get 3 points from those 3 FT's that Kobe took?

You knew exactly what I meant, but because you're a nut hugger you want to get technical. He did miss every shot he took. He made the only three FREE shots he took. Will that help you sleep better now?

8/24. Not a coincidence. He has been planning nights like these since he changed jersey number.

Byron Scott's offense is pretty simple.
Step1: Let Kobe shoot
Step2: Pass Kobe the ball if he doesn't have it.
Step3: Cheer Kobe on
Step4: Secretely pray that his Achilles keeps him on the bench so we can actually win games.

24 shots in 29 min is just too much. but he missed easy ones he normally makes as well. i guess he will get better and hit his 44-45% from the field.
