How good would they be defensively?

They'd be better defensively because Bowen is an upgrade over Green (though I don't think it's that much, Danny is seriously underrated as a defender).

We'd be worse on offense though because Green shoots 3s at a higher volume and he moves without the ball better.

Would love to have Bruce back though. He was a great leader and he brought it pretty much every night.

Even though he was a notorious dirty defender, he could drive the opposing players crazy.

If Bruce Bowen had Danny Green's offensive repertoire during his career that would have been crazy.

I think the Spurs would rather have 09-13 Tony Parker.

07-10 would be nice also

I'd rather Danny Green than Bruce Bowen. The gap in their offensive ability is bigger in Green's favour than the edge to Bruce defensively. I've never understood why Green isn't consistently on first or second All-defensive teams.

I prefer to have Danny Green. He's much younger, not as much as an iron man as Bowen (but still pretty good), and has much more upside offensively than Bowen. The days when a player can stand in the corner and hit only 3s is over - that big 3 to create shots is gone - hopefully DG works on expanding his offensive repertoire.

But please DON'T EVER dribble the ball up the court.

They'd have a really legit bench if Bowen was on the roster. Lots of team would be happy with:

Mills-Manu-Bowen-Diaw-West

Even if most of those guys are getting wold.

Bowen was so absurdly overrated on the spurs. The defensive awards and even defensive player of the year votes he'd get were just crazy. He was a very very good defensive player, but no way you'd take him over Green.
