View Full Version : Did the Pacers already abandon the Paul George at PF experiment?

Looking at the box score, says he started at SF tonight with Jordan Hill and Ian Mahinmi starting at PF/C.

Or was this due to some injury circumstance or what?

Also worth noting, the "offensively challenged" Memphis Grizzlies just HUNG 112 point on a Pacers team who've been one of the league's juggernauts for the past few years. Lebron's Cavs held the Grizzlies to like 60 points last night.

Hungbelievable.

Don't hate the player, hate the game.

He's not THICK enough to play PF

Probably because Z-Bo would have destroyed him backing him down. Anyway, they've mentioned that he wouldn't be playing PF against the bigger guys. Just small ball vs. lineups where he'd have an advantage.

the strategy was destined to fail... u can lead a horse to water

paul george is a 2/3 not a 3/4

they'll play him every so often when opposition suits it but mostly just to save face

i have no idea what is wrong with

hill
ellis
george
hill
mihinmi (who looks great btw)

or start the third hill (solomon?) and confuse the other team by calling every play 'hill billy' or 'king of the hill' or 'trump/hilton 2016' and shout them out 15 times a possession and maybe that way bird and vogel can finally salvage their ruined reputations as braindead traitors to tradition

He won't be playing PF tonight either. Favors would eat him alive.

He's just not a PF. Playing him at PF would only work against smallball teams, like if Draymond/Carmelo/LeBron/Tobias Harris/Gay is at the 4.

Against true 4s like Aldrige/West/Zbo, Favors he's going to get raped.
