He's by far the most overrated player in the game today. He has no go to moves, no post game and his defense is overrated yet casual fans and analysts alike claimed he's better than the likes of KD, Steph, Harden, Westbrook, Paul & even LeBron before the season started. :biggums:

Even heard people claim he's already better than KG's ever been and he's the most talented player of all time.

Can't believe Draymond Green has locked him up these past two games. Same Green that couldn't handle Mozgov. :lol

Green couldn't even handle fatigued Lebron

To be fair Mozgov is fvcking massive. Tough for a 6-7 guy...

I don't really take that as a reflection on his defensive abilities

Players with his body type and agility always get unfair expectations heaped on them. Whether they're just plain bad (Anthony Randolph), a key contributor (Odom), or a perrenial All-Star (which Davis already is for sure), analysts always hold them to higher standards for development and always see endless potential that never goes away. It often gets exaggerated and unrealistic. I think that's the case here, but Davis will get a chance to prove us wrong.

At this point, he seems like he will have 2-3 years as the league's undisputed best player and will easily be an all-time great if healthy, but people are beginning to expect a monster the likes of which has never existed and that it's only a matter of time before he is that beast.

With all that said, I'm rooting for him to pull if off (who wouldn't want to see a transcendent player?)

He was amazing last year. This is not up for debate. He wasn't better than Steph or Harden. KD didn't really play. Depending on the stats westbrook was or wasn't better. Paul same. Lebron was about on par with him unless you're a PER guy (and who still is using that as the one stat?).

People are saying THIS YEAR he can get better than last year and if he does that, he could be better than everyone. This given he's the youngest of the group and as you've mentioned seems to be missing the most tools is reasonable.

As for green the guy should have been the defensive player of the year last year. He's an elite defender.

BTW Davis was 26/15/4 tonight. He could have been better, but lets not act like he sucked.

Davis vs Towns could be epic

I was saying this last year after Draymond punked him...

The whole board jumped on me saying that he's "great" and "skilled". He's the epitome of the prototypical AAU basketball superstar.

It is really not his fault. He is being put in the wrong position. There is ZERO reason he should not be in the post and have 4 shooters surrounding him.

Put Jrue, Gordon, Dante and Ryan around him and let him play down low ala Dwight in Orlando.

The second he gets the ball in the high post at 12-14 feet out he is absolutely unstoppable. He is going to score on a midrange jumper (wet from that distance), drive and draw a foul, drive and have the defense be too late to do anything so they foul, or be able to hit a cutter or get it to a shooter if there is too much help.

It's an absolutely ridiculous gameplan to do anything besides that.

He can control the entire paint + board on offense that way + also do that on defense because the foot speed is there from the perimeter players.

Looking like a clown right now with this nonsense point forward hybrid garbage. Turning him into a glorified Draymond Green out there. The reason Dray does that (and makes him look good) is because he isn't an all universe talent.

Poor coach. Roster doesn't fit together. Underachieving, constantly injured teammates. Trying to change his game up which takes time.

Moving on...
