Why are teams so afraid of a guy who isn't as dominant as Kobe, Lebron or Durant?

Perhaps you didn't watch his highlights against the Pelicans

defensive attention? Teams are more afraid of his teammates who can quickly get hot. Klay, green, barnes, iggy are snipers who are dangerous when left open. Curry gets alot of 1v1 coverage with guys sagging abit because of how the nba has helped jump shooters.

Because there are no easy solutions to stopping a guy who is consistently shooting 3's off the dribble. Aside from trapping him there aren't many other defensive options so it really throws traditional defenses out of whack.

SUPER SUPERSTARS like curry just makes it so easy unlike superstars like KD and Lebron who cant score as easily and can be defended by kawhi and tayshaun prince or tony allen singlehandedly

which is why Curry IS the best player in the league. If you can score like he can, everything else is irrelevant. That alone FUKS defenses up on a scale far more than any other player or skillset, and in effect allows his team to totally dominate. If you arn't an amazing shooter like Curry, at the very least u need a vertical greater than 36.5 inches (not including 36.5) to make up for it, ideally 40 and beyond.

KD can't score as easily, yet he has had a 50/40/90 season, unlike Curry, with 28 ppg. And another season of 50/39/90 while averaging 32 points. Jep. You dumb.

I gotta admit, Lebron and Durant never had to face a defender like Delly in the finals.

sorry i meant to put melo and wade there but i forgot they exist until now. kd torched tony allen

to be fair 28ppg in 25 min is pretty good and only taking 16 shots a night efficient

Not in the finals..
He was literally doubled from the half court line every single game.
Imagine his stats had he gottent the lebron finals treatment, basically 1x1 defense 5/6 games

because he's an absolute threat from the basket to thirty feet away from it and everywhere in between. combine that with an insane high offensive iq and his dribbling magic act.

Curry doesn't only have the offensive skill to attract so much attention, he also has the BBIQ to take full advantage of it and make the opposing team pay.
