What a beta. Jordan would never admit to sucking. He wouldn't claim to be any worse than top 20 in the league even today. Kobe has just realized his life mission to one up Jordan was an abject failure (the rest of us knew this years ago) and now he's a broken man. Isn't that a shame....:oldlol:

Kobe's been finished since 2013. Stop acting like this is some new development. He sucked in his brief stints before sustaining season ending injuries for the past 2 years. It's the same story this year. Expect another season ending injury in the very near future.

Kobes longevity is overrated
He became a legit NBA player by 2001, and he was finished by 2013
Thats 12 years, Bird and Wade have better longevity than that
And his superstar seasons are even less (2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009)
Only a superstar for 6 seasons, yet his stans want to act like he's top 10 all-time

By playing you`ll secure multiple high draft picks for years to come.
And let`s not forget, watching the Black Jumbo play is fun. It`s fun when someone does the opposite of what everyone says he should do. Stay strong Kobe!

What good are high draft picks when he won't allow any of them to develop? From an on court perspective he literally contributes nothing positive to the Lakers.

If you don't think Kobe is bare minimum Top 10 All Time you know nothing about basketball. Or are just some insecure LeBron Stanley that's melting down across multiple alt accounts because your boy is most likely gonna' keep piling up finals losses. Every Finals loss he gets knocked down like 2 spots in the all time list, so one more and he's out of the top 15 by default.

Honestly.. I think he is finished bro. He just won't stop chucking 3's.. if he stuck with the midrange game he'd be around 45%FG.. but the long ball is what gets him excited. On top of that, he thinks he's being criticized for not taking enough 3's.. he's delusional. And I'm a Kobe fan.

He'll have a few good games, people will go crazy, then back to reality.
Kobe will continue to stink it up, get injured, call out his teammates, have one good game, a game winner, then suck again.
I'd be surprised if he shoots over 41% for the season.
Kobe is out there for one reason only..... all time scoring record.
He doesn't care how, or what effect it has on the team, he wants that record.
Let's face it, Kobe has ALWAYS been about Kobe 1st and 2nd. And that aint never gonna change. Only blind fools didn't notice that before.

Kobe's shot selection thus far is why his b-ball IQ is brought up every so often. Why isn't he operating exclusively from the high and mid-post ? It's like the two sides of his brain are at odds on the current state of his game and body. One side admits the end is near, the other still thinks its 2006.

Most of us are young, so we don't know what its like, but nearing 40 can't make playing sports easy. I'm surprised he can even run after the amount of wear and tear he must have. He was an iron-man throughout most of his career as well.
Guys like Lebron are doing preventative maintenance at 30 to try and extend their careers into their mid-30's. For Kobe to even be playing now is a feat in itself.

Im a year older than he is, it isn't easy. Even if you're in shape, the body simply isn't the same, your reaction and reflex time aren't the same. Your mind thinks of doing something, something you've done hundreds of times, but your body doesn't react the same way.
There will be games when the body feels good, yet it's still not the same. One has to adjust their game and get easier shots.
I can still see the game faster than most people. I see plays happening before they even happen, I can see holes in the defense, I understand when a player is off balance and I have a gap, I know what to do and when to do it, I visualize plays... but my body simply won't react the same way.
And even when the body does react, it doesn't happen time and time again. Perhaps for a few plays, maybe an entire game if one is lucky. But even then, never the way it was.
And even when you do beat your defender and you appear to get a clean look, you're actually moving at a slower speed than you think you are. You think you're going 100mph but you're actually just going 50mph and the defense reacts.
The worst thing of all is YOU DON'T KNOW IT!!!
At the moment you don't know you're that slow. You don't know it until the move/play is over. So your mind and body are playing tricks on you,
One can probably get by against shitty players, but not against even the average players on most nights. Which is why it takes some players years to retire. They still feel they have a chance of being great again. There's always glimpses, there's always games and perhaps streaks of games, but it's all fool's gold cause that will bite you later on.

I remember playing against some coworkers a few months ago. These dudes are in the shape of their lives. Mid 20s and were training to be in an endurance contest they have here in Canada.
I crossed one dude over then jumped in the air for a layup, was met by the other dude and I did a 360 spin in mid air for a layup. I was pumped!!!
Here's the fool's gold... so I thought I was gonna do this again, but my legs didn't let me. Every time I jumped it was a max 5 inch vert and I was getting swatted and bricking. But my mind thought I was gonna be soaring through the air like I did when I was 24, like I did just a few plays before. I also figured that I'd get my legs under me and catch my second wind, all I needed was to warm up so I told myself. It was the opposite. The more I played the more my body gave up, I got more and tired as the game progressed.
And that's how it goes when you age.
We all thought we'd be invincible when we were young.
We thought we could last forever.
Time catches up to you.
Time, he's waiting in the wings
He speaks of senseless things
His script is you and me, boys
Time, he flexes like a whore
Falls wanking to the floor
His trick is you and me, boy
