He is who we thought he was. Great footwork with excellent touch around the basket. He plays the post like a seasoned veteran.

That said, someone has to score the points on this Philly team. I wouldn't put too much stock in his scoring numbers, because they're going to be a bit inflated on this (terrible) team. I am impressed with his offensive skillset and would like to see him with a qualified point guard.

He's by far the ROtY so far. His offense along with Noel's defense is a dynamic duo that could run the league in due time. Throw in healthy Embiid and that's a nasty from court rotation.

If the 76ers can get a scoring guard with leadership skills this team will take over the league.

Tj seems to be playing well and Kendall will be back from injury. I think he is in a good situation of wise.Canaan has been atrocious mostly in terms of being a PG/playmaker and this was the first game TJ looked like he was an actual NBA player. He was pretty mediocre/bad the first couple games.

Marshall will likely be more consistent than the PGs currently getting mins imo.

The game was actually close for 3 quarters, with the Sixers ahead for the first 2 quarters.

He scored 18 of his points in the first 3 quarters I believe.

Thanks Jam, he's messing up my prediction that after the first year he's going to have the best post game in the league. Should have said after the first month. Love how he adjusted his game for TT and Mozgoz. And the Cav's play good defense. Since Shaq, I can't recall a rookie that demanded a double team this early. His command on the block is better than Duncan's and Cousins. His scoring instincts are quick and decisive, amazingly without a lot of experience. I didn't think he would know how to use his body this early and would be able to adjust to the speed of the game this quickly. His hands and handle are special. Once his body matures he's going to be one of the most interesting low post players ever.

Defensively they would be a bad pairing.

The true cringe here is how obsessed the LeBron Stanleys are on this board with everything Kobe/Lakers related. :lol

It's almost as if deep down inside you know that there isn't much to look forward to in LeBron's career except meaningless regular season stat-padding.

So they try to overcompensate for it by obsessing over every little thing the Lakers and Kobe do.

They post more about a 37 year old player in his 20th season, than about their supposed "GOAT" in his prime.

That 2-4 finals record got them scarred, boy. :lol

Well his post moves are impressive, I will say his big man game leaves a lot to be desired. Russell hasn't looked too great for sure but Okafor out there grabbing 3 rebounds?

Dude is what people said. He's a overly hyped big that can score down low in the post but isn't exactly known for his defense or his ability to grab rebounds...you know...the thing you'd like your big to do as well.

That may change but as of right now as someone said he's Brook Lopez.

Also what is it with these bigs not rebounding?

Sorry for posting another thread with the highlights. Didn't see this one.:facepalm

The most impressive thing about Oak isn't about the stats right now. He is averaging 20ppg, and basically playing with questionable and borderline PGs. In 2 of the games, the best outside shooters of the team were either out(Covington) or just coming back from injury(Stauskas).

No, the most impressive thing is that he is making offensive post moves unseen from such a young player(19) in a long, long time. In Philly, we saw him dominate a smaller Boston front court, and we said this game vs Timo will show if he has made the adjustment after a relatively weaker game vs. Rudy Gobert.

He gets it. Oak used his nimble feet to repeatedly beat Mozgov in the paint. Meanwhile, he bullied Love and Thompson using his size.

I'm not too worried about his rebounding. As he gets stronger, he will get more boards, but he will probably never become a dominant rebounder. What he can be though potentially is the focal point of the offense. I will wait a few more games to officially say this and I believe time will bear this out, but so far, so good.

There's no question that Towns has the higher ceiling, if you ask most scouts. Towns is projected to be be a more complete players, but Okafor MAY just become a better fit for a team like Philly or for other teams who need a focal point on offense.

Think about it. A team with a great post player will not just be playoff ready, but they will produce even more 3 point shooting because of the defensive attention Oak will demand. Plus, he is reputed to be a pretty good passer as well.
