I've been a Spurs fan since the Rod Strickland, Terry Cummings days but it has had its ups and downs. Mostly ups, but with the decline of the big three it's nice to see the emergence of a true home grown superstar built the Spurs way.

It means that Kawhi either made Melo get the ball further from his spots or that his presence alone discouraged Melo from trying to shoot more often. You let Melo take 27 on a good shooting night and he's going to score 40.

That was expected. I don't know who was guarding Melo in the Wizards game (was watching the Mets), but that was the game that was unexpected. He actually shot well in that game. Kawhi is a different animal and I could have bet a million dollars Melo would shoot under 40%
