View Full Version : Remember when Curry got locked up by an unathletic Australian backup in the finals?

Got outplayed by a hobbled Irving and blocked on the go ahead bucket in Game 1.
Missed an NBA record 13 threes in Game 2
Let Delly drop 20 on him in Game 3

How different would things be if he didn't get bailed out Iggy and the Cavs didn't run out of gas with their 6 man rotation.

0/11 never forget

One of the many benefits of having 4 elite defenders in the starting lineup and the most loaded bench in the NBA that includes the FMVP.

Curry didn't even show up until late in the 3rd quarter last night and they were still up by 30 against a team that made the WCSF. :biggums:

Yet he won the ring, and the Warriors keep on crushing so far. :confusedshrug:

Let me get this straight.. According to Insidehoops

26/10/2 on 41.6 % GOAT finals performances and the best of the modern era (SIC)

Vs

26/5/6 44.3%, Curry is a role player.

I remember him winning MVP, leading his team to a 67 win season and capping it off with a title while averaging 28/6/5 throughout the playoffs. And he's followed that up with a 4-0 start to this season playing better than any other so called mvp candidates out there

After game 2, Curry averaged 27.8/4.5/7 on very good efficiency. Only complaint would be his turnovers (in terms keeping it low) and defense could have been better.

And you play to win the game. It's better to be remembered a winner who didn't win a Finals MVP than not winning at all.

Curry was concussed, but played through it like a real warrior

Not getting into how dumb the premise of your thread is, but that Kyrie Irving block was simply a phenomenal play by Kyrie.

Steph had him beat off the dribble, looked like a guaranteed bucket. Still not sure how a hobbled Kyrie was able to make that play lol

That was an incredible play. Steph was sleep on that one. He was embarrassed and it really messed him up. It carried over into the next game, imo.

But to the OP. Yeah Delly got to him for that game 2 and part of game 3 but it was all downhill from there.

Lol, not according to ISH. Losing in the Finals and not winning FMVP if you do win is worse than losing in the first round or missing the playoffs

In other words, after his concussion symptoms cleared up

Honestly, winning the championship while losing FMVP is probably the greatest sin in basketball.
