they'd be better off trying to pick up evan fournier and channing frye. Orlando didn't extend fournier which means they would likely be open to offers during the season. Frye is shit in orlando where he plays on the inside but he'd be useful on a team like the grizz as a bench shooter with gasol in the paint kicking it out to him. Dunno if they'd have much to match fournier but if it's true orlando's looking hard to unload frye taking him on would be a plus.

For as frustrating as Chalmers can be sometimes, I'd hate to see him leave. He's been with the Heat from day one and had some great moments in the Heat's championships runs. Yeah, he can be a retard, but he's OUR retard. I trust the Godfather though.

Sounds like Philly or Portland would need to get involved since it appears this move is a straight salary dump to lower Miami's tax bill.

Unless another team feels they need Chalmers and his Bird Rights.

I don't get why Memphis has interest since they have Conley & Udrih.

Nah, they have Tyler Johnson and other options at PG. Wario has pretty much run his course.

Charmers and bird manThat cuts into Miami's cap space next summer. Heat want to reduce their tax bill this year for a team that's unlikely to get to the Finals (sorry Heat fans- just my gut feeling).

Just to note, that deal does reduce this year's tax bill, but not as much as dumping salary and getting nothing in return.
