read this insane yet intresting theory on reddit about how Jar Jar could actually be in cahoots with Palpatine or actually be his master, and not the bumbling fool.
-Theories like he could have been the actual Phantom Menace, since it was obvious that Palpatine will be the emperor.
- George Lucas didnt push through with him as the villain because of the backlash Jar Jar got
- How he always seemed to get out of trouble and showed force attuned skills
- Basically a reverse Yoda.
:oldlol:
I know its laughable but if you read it, it kinda makes sense.
Never underestimate the power of Jar Jar.

Jar Jar is the 3ball of the Star Wars Universe. Just like 3ball makes you believe he's a Jordan fan, Jar Jar appears to be an idiot savant. These 2 are the masters of deflection

The write up makes a ridiculous amount of sense... George was a ***** for not going through with it.. Also, makes sense why Darth Dooku seems rushed and forced.
As i was reading it made more sense. They say they just threw out that plot because 8f all the back lash after the phantom pain.

dooku's backstory is pretty cool
former respected jedi who trained qui gon jin, became disillusioned with the council after the events of episode 1
a shame him and grievous were relegated to jobber status in the films

"
Fine. Maybe. Hilarious conspiracy theory, but why would George Lucas bother to create this devious Gungan character with an elaborate conspiratorial past, but then never actually reveal his true nature?"
A: To sell toys. Thats the reason for a lot of the shitty star wars characters. The ewoks, this new soccer ball droid in the new movie... They wanted some kind of alien companion to be in "the group" like how Chewbacca was "the alien" in the original trilogy.
if you read the books too, Palpatine was PISSED that his pupil was destroyed by a padawan, his droid ship blown up by a little boy, and the capital taken by a teenage girl... but not so pissed because he played both sides. it didnt go the way he planned though. this is just people trying to create something out of nothing.
jar jar is the most hated character in star wars history, so of course they scraped him as much as they could. hes probably the single reason why the phantom menance is considered the worst movie by most people. The original affirmative action character inserted into the franchise... based on jamaican sterotypes.

hilarious theory, but the idea that dooku was rushed in to replace jarjar is obviously pants.
george lucas took SW way too seriously for that to be remotely plausible.
dooku being exactly how lucas intended him is completely consistent with the whole prequal trilogy... meaning it was as flat as everything else and only served to move the story along... in his case being a major villain that the good guys get to defeat.
jarjar was just another foolish idea of lucas in order to appeal to kids and lovers of physical comedy, similar to the ewoks.
i don't know if the disney films are going to be any good, but lucas being relieved of his duties is pretty much the best thing ever.

LMAO
Would be the biggest trolljob ever if JJ Abrams follows through with this idea. Please let it happen
