It's only five games into the season, but his decline has been pretty sharp so far. Damn shame.

He's a bust as a person and a player. I could never respect a Derrick Rose fan.

There's nothing wrong with Rose. He needs to dominate the ball to be effective. He's not a PG. His skill set is more conducive to a team that doesn't have very many guys that need the ball. I personally think Rose would be better suited on a team like Memphis. And Mike Connelly would be great in Chicago.

considering that he missed all of training camp and the preseason I'm not that concerned. I'd be more worried if you were taking a lot of shots and couldn't score. if he's going to take six or eight shots mostly quick floaters in the lane and driving into traffic I'm not really worried about his numbers. when he's back to shooting 15 - 18 times a game and attempting to be a scorer I'll decide how good he is at it. he straight up coasting through games and moving the ball around.

lebron finished him
I'm not ok with what lebron did to this kid. Never seen anyone abused and traumatized this badly in the league. At least without sanction. Rose literally wakes up midnight EVERYDAY with LeBeast nightmares. Some times he is dunking over him during crunch time. Other times he is roaring and chest thumping after sealing a game winner. Some others lebron will be naked in his room, then everything goes BLURRY

Its obvious your grievances about kobe and russells short comings this season are being taken out on poor d rose. Maybe you should channel that energy into something more productive, like getting a job, and a life?

It's not his fault that they changed coaches and went defensive to offensive  A lot of ppl didn't like Thibs, but he made his team play defense which is no priority of the new coach. 130 points? :biggums: It wasn't even to the Warriors or Spurs or OKC.
I'm confident he will hold his own against Goatbrook tomorrow night. Him and Russ are friends, and even though Russ is a killer, he won't murder his buddy.

If it's that significant of a detriment, he should be on the bench...b/c right now he's statistically one of the worst starters in basketball.

I had the same injury as Rose (actually mine was worse), never had double vision. This is probably just muscle memory 2.0 from Rose. If he actually was having double vision, there's no way he'd be playing. :oldlol: Can you imagine trying to play basketball if you were seeing two of everything?

Double vision  dude is literally seeing two graduations, both of his sons, which one to attend? choices.... Rose is a great father, just not a good superstar for the league. ZERO competitiveness, zero performance under pressure

No training camp, one preseason game.
Like kblaze said he is coasting right now and getting into game shape.
Last year he struggld at the beginning of the year but his stats across the board rose during the playoffs. For now he's just not being aggressive but he's not done.
I think ourt of all people you guys should ask BULLS fans first, you know, the ones who watch his games. Not just a random poster like OP who just doesn't like the Bulls because he's a lebron fan first.

“I feel I’ve been managing myself pretty good. I know a lot of people get mad when they see me sit out. But I think a lot of people don’t understand that when I sit out, it’s not because of this year. I’m thinking about long term. I’m thinking about after I’m done with basketball, having graduations to go to, having meetings to go to.
“I don’t want to be in my meetings all sore or be at my son’s graduation all sore just because of something I did in the past. Just learning and being smart.’’

If you think he's playing a full throttle and is healthy you got issues. Its as simple as that. If he's adjusting he's adjusting. He doesn't care about stats to prove things obviously. The team needs him, he plays.
derrick rose impact is next to nothing. stick a fork in him. he is donezarino

Bulls fans are gonna ride this guy until the bitter end though. I'm sure once his vision comes back they'll blame his poor play on the dildo chick.

Rose is done. He never had the mental strength.
I knew soon as he continued to sit out after he was medically cleared. Real ballers are dying to get back on the court...usually end up pushing themselves too much or too early. Never seen a guy want to take MORE time off than doctors recommended.

 For Memphis, I think it's worth the risk since they aren't going anywhere anyway. Rose is a low-key guy who fits the mold. Went to college there also. Conley would improve the Bulls by ironing out little kinks. Add like another piece like McDermott to the trade and I'll be #1 fans for both teams.

Clearly not imo. He has flashes of brilliance, or at least he did early in the season, a couple times a game.
The problem with Rose is honestly mainly his salary. He's an 8 to 10 million dollar a year player going forward based on the past couple years and his play so far this year.
Him making 20 plus is the real problem. Luckily that ends next year so it's not like it's a killer long term.
I don't now, nor ever, think Rose plays the game in a way that works in a variety of styles...so that might hurt his value on some teams, but on other teams it would help.
His best role might be 6th man on a team he can come in and have the ball in his hands almost exclusively when he's in the game. And then maybe he closes the games when he's hot and sits if he's not. Unless he really gets back to his level of 11 and 12...I don't see him as much more than a role player going forward. Just can't rely on him to stay healthy and play well consistently enough to build around...and it's going on year 5 of that unfortunately for him.
But that doesn't mean "he's done"...dude could have a great 2nd half of his career playing a pseudo Jamal Crawford role.

In a series Bulls would get wrecked by OKC. Rose had a great game. Doubt he could still do this for a whole series. That's not to say that he won't be back to normal by the end of the season. I just think it's too early to tell. Right now he's still working to get it back.
