Would a LeBron + Curry Team Be Better Than a Kobe + Shaq Team?

Pairing Kobe with Shaq was one of the best duos in sports history. It lead to the Lakers winning 3 championships all back to back. Unfortunately, we all know that these two egos didn't mesh well and one of the two had to go. If not for that, who knows what these two great players could have accomplished. Besides their egos, they seemed to be a perfect fit to one another. A Kobe and Shaq team proved to be one of the most deadly combos in NBA history and sports history. Also, it would seem pairing Shaq with any elite guard would prove similar results. For example, we saw a Wade + Shaq team win the championship in 2006.

Now, what about LeBron James and Stephen Curry. As we all know, LeBron doesn't really need a traditional point guard. It would seem that his game is geared more towards having a point guard that can score, especially one with range. Curry is a marksman. His range is pretty much anywhere from half court to the bottom of the net. LeBron, in Cleveland, is paired with Kyrie who is a great player but doesn't have the range or accuracy of Curry. Imagine if LeBron James, one of the greatest and unselfish players in NBA history, was paired with a point guard like Curry. These two seem to be a perfect fit. Also, their egos wouldn't get in the way like a Kobe + Shaq team.

At the end of the day, which team do you guys think would be better? A Kobe + Shaq team or a LeBron + Curry team.

Sure we can make Steph a spot up shooter but than he becomes a one trick pony since LeBron handles the ball so much. In that case, Kobe & Shaq will SHIT on this team.

You guys need to remember that Shaq & Kobe had HISTORICALLY mediocre teammates. Horry, Shaw, Walker, Fisher etc. All of them were career role players and they still won 3 straight titles with them.

Think back about other duos and their "side-kicks", they all had way more talent around them. Shaq & Kobe is the best duo in league history, period.

They would crush everyone unless you pair up Jordan & Kareem, or Magic & Wilt. Magic & Kareem never played together during their prime but I'd still might side with Kobe & Shaq (especially in 01' & 02').
