True or false
Steph Curry is what Kyrie Irving should've been. I've been following Kyrie since Duke and I've always envisioned him doing exactly what Curry is doing now. I've also followed Curry too and thought he would be a star but never to this extent. I always thought Kyrie was the one who had it in him. Did anyone else had the same sentiment towards Kyrie? Anyone feel he can still be as good as Curry is now? I feel he has the tools. Durability was always a concern.

If you're trying to say Kyrie isn't living up to his potential, you're wrong.. I'm not sure many thought he'd be this good actually, Kyrie is amazing, right now he can't do much about how good Curry is, but lets not act like the margin between them are galaxies. I love Kyrie and I probably prefer to watch him, too..

I don't see a major difference between the level Kyrie was playing at last season and Curry during the regular season. In fact if you look at the matchup in game 1, it was pretty even.
I want to clarify this before I get flamed, of course Curry is the better player but Kyrie is playing as second fiddle to Lebron and is learning how to win, he still has plenty of time.
Curry may have taken a step forward this season so far, but I don't really comment on it after 4 games.

Curry is what everyone should have been. But they couldn't.

Actually, Curry right now is what no one could've envisioned anyone to be. Playing at GOAT level. If he sustain at least 75% of what he's doing now...wow........MVP on lock.

Anyone feel the same with Lillard too or he's just not that talented ?

Exactly the same type of player, the problem is for these guys is that A) they can't shoot as well as him, b) they are not as willing passer's as he is.
I also think that we really are prisoner's of the moment, this is a 4 game sample size and all of sudden he's the GOAT.

Kyrie Irving's ball-handling and shot-creation skills are definitely comparable, but he's never had the same grace as Stephen Curry

Not as skilled. Bball IQ isn't great.
but yeah I said Lillard is essentially a less effective version of Curry in 2014. He's a full-blown poor mans version now

Lillard and Kyrie are very talented players, but they are just not as talented as Steph Curry.
I don't think this is a fluke either because Steph Curry was playing like this in the playoffs last year as well. He has shown us that this is the next level Steph Curry and my Pacers hope that he doesn't reach another one...

He's definitely not living up to his potential. Up until lebron joined him many were disappointed with his success. You don't get disappointed when you don't have high success. Maybe I was wrong but I always thought kyrie would be an mvp, offensive machine. He's good and is by no means a bust. But I imagined him being a superstar in this league.

I think that Lilliard and Kyrie are immensely talented. I don't think its the talent that is the difference. It's the work ethic. Curry is constantly doing things to improve his game. He could not handle like Kyrie and Lilliard did when he came into the league. He worked on that to damn near perfection.
He has been a work in progress and was always open to suggestions from his coaches. That's been the difference. He always had that shot though.

Man I thought I was crazy when I was like curry didn't have handles like this before, nor was he that decent of a passer iirc. He definitely has improved his game.

Your first impressions or future thoughts when one enters the league don't mean jack shit, no one really knows how good one is, yet.

It's not a first impression. He's been in the league long enough to be on a second contract. And quit acting like this is some foreign concept. It's basketball discussion. The same shit that goes on every single year of basketball. Some prospects are projected to be better than others. Kyrie was a number one pick. It's okay to think he'll be big in the league.
