Those 8 feet floaters are scary looking, but they always goes in.

I don't think there is anyone his size in the NBA that can take a PF/C off the dribble from the 3 point line face-up.

Gonna ride till I die with this. Russell will be better than Okafor.

Even if he isn't, Towns is better than Okafor in every way already, including low post game.

Dude is a really nice player. The athleticism concerns might've been a bit exaggerated, he can clearly do what he wants if he tries hard enough..explosiveness and fluidity/mobility is solid enough for his style of play, conditioning might need some improvement though. His poise and control is pretty incredible for his age, he gets doubled regularly and shows zero lack of composure, just makes the right play.

He should be an easy 20/10 guy going forward. Don't know if you can build a championship level team with him as the best player, but at the very least he should be a monster 2nd option.

Why do you say that??? I'm pretty sure he can be a scorer like Dirk, but will be closer to the basket. He's already a very good passer right now. And he's likely to be the best passing centers within a couple of years. By far he's the most creative right now. He's going to get some blocks. His lack of defense won't mean much because half of the very solid ones will be on his team {joke} The only one that has the potential to outscore him with regularity will be rarely faced in Sacramento. His deficiencies on Philly are already addressed. The team needs shooters and personnel l to space the floor.

oh the horror

If Russell doesn't look far far improved by midsession people are going to be calling for Jim Buss to be fired. :facepalm

His offensive game is ridiculous.

Still soft on the boards though.

What could have been....

Tandem of Randle and Okafor! Great offensive fronts with Jordan kicking it in the back..

If Russ doesn't show glimpse of greatness at some point of this season, Buss is done.

If he isn't done the fans will make sure his ass is done. Too many bad decisions begin to smell funny

I think that nobody could have predicted how ready Okafor was going to look like. He plays like a seasoned veteran. Hell, he could be an All Star in his rookie season. Remember when Hibert was picked in the East? Okafor is better now than Hibert will ever be. Granted, his defense is not there yet, but offensively? He has an offensive repertoire that shits on 90% of the centers in this league.

Everyone knew. The consensus was 1. Towns, 2. Okafor.

Lakers didn't get the memo, buss and stuck in the 80s Byron though otherwise:facepalm the lakers are now FU*KED

We all saw it at Duke. The dude had advanced NBA low post skills and the biggest hands in the draft. As for all the athleticism Questions, Russell had the same questions about his game. Why take a point guard who isn't quick enough to penetrate and play d at the NBA level? :facepalm

Looks like a younger version of Brook Lopez to me. Shorter but more mobile, both suck at rebounding.

Okafor will never average 10 rebounds. He is a putrid rebounder
