I've heard this term being used more than ever. Unless I have never paid attention to this before, but is this an actual rule?

I wish it wasn't, but it is. Reports coming in that Kidd is getting fired for breaking Jabari's 10 mpg minutes restriction tonight. Official announcement coming probably tomorrow morning.

I realize it sounds stupid, I've just never really heard it being referred to as minute restrictions so frequently. Pretty much every game talks about a player with minute restrictions. Kind of like the term selfie. I thought maybe it could have been a rule to dress an extra player
