View Full Version : Serious Debate: Better offensive player Jordan or Curry?

Jordan was incredible but I've never seen a player who strikes fear into opponents like Curry. I can't believe what I'm seeing right now.

He can kill you from 3 off the dribble, screens or catch & shoots. If you bite too hard he'll take it to the hole or pull up from midrange. Like how do you guard this guy? If I was an NBA player I'd probably rather check MJ.

He's the GOAT threat from the 3 pt line and beyond along with amazing handles but better "offensive player"? Damm son.

You haven't seen incredible until you've seen Jordan play in current era. Sadly we will never see such unparalleled greatness. Put MJ in today's game with no hand checking and he will drop over 40 a game every game on high efficiency.

I agree. But I prefer bran coz im a bit of a soft person. I want players who doesnt strike fear. Who cant even get single coverage much more double teams And he lets role players win fmvps. Thats the type of guy i want to be. Friendly or what they call buddy2x

I know it's not sustainable, but god damn. Curry's numbers this season per 36:

40 pts, 6.5, ast, 5.6 reb, 2.5 steals per 36 minutes on 57% shooting, 51.9% on 3s, 76% TS

Seriously some GOAT shit.

It's only 5 games though

Jordan obviously, but when Curry is hitting the 3...dude has insane impact.

Being arguably the greatest shooter helps lol

Strong words, i feel you :applause:

Bran  Curry will never be able to average 35pts on just 33 shot attempts

Jordan. I'm interested in what Curry's regression will be like.

Because at this point his worst game has clearly been 31/5/4 on .739 TS% with no turnovers.

I have watched Jordan's entire career and he is the GOAT but this Steph Curry that we are seeing is better offensively. Jordan of course is the better defender but if Curry keeps improving he could start being compared to MJ.

:biggums:

Better shooting does not equal better offensive player. MJ is the most consistently, dominant scorer ever. Wilt peaked higher but no one was more consistently dominant. He won 10 scoring titles in 11 full seasons as a Bull. When Curry does something like that, call me. Until then, let's keep things in perspective.

I will agree that what we are seeing in Curry is GOAT level stuff in terms of shooting. And you add in his ability to break down defenders and create his own shot instantly, he is insanely dangerous. But compare him to MJ? Come on.

MJ best at everything, no debate.
