We know Curry has been off the charts. I'll start with someone else:

Wilt Chamberlain 2/25/62 - 3/04/62

70.2 ppg, 26.4 rbg, 3 apg, 48 mpg, 58 FG%, 77.6 FT%

Per 36:

46.8 / 17.6 / 2

Sorry dude, you're about 40 years too late.

And why would I do that?

Because A. You responded and B. the Curry bandwagon is loading up.

Because A. You responded and B. the Curry bandwagon is loading up.

A.) I'm not a fan of either player

B.) I only responded because I think it's hilarious that someone is stanning a guy who not only has passed away (RIP), but also hasn't played since the 70s.

Welcome to the 21st century dude. Where we no longer have spin dial phones.

From my favourite players;

Tim Duncan 5/15/03 - 5/25/03
32.8 ppg 18.0 rpg 5.8 apg 3.2 bpg 0.8 spg on .616 fg .700 ft with 46.2 efficiency per game

Shaquille O'Neal 3/6/00 - 3/16/00
41.8 ppg 15.4 rpg 3.6 apg 1.2 bpg on .638 fg .632 ft with 44.2 eff per game

But I highly doubt that anyone will beat Wade's 13 game stretch in 2008-09 season, 2/18/09 - 3/14/09;
37.2 ppg 5.9 rpg 10.4 apg 2.9 spg 1.4 bpg on .553 fg .419 3pt .865 ft with 41.8 eff per game

That was the craziest stretch I've ever seen since I started to watch NBA.

Kobe

March 16, 2007 - March 25, 2007
53.6 PPG

Well, most knowledgeable fans recognize that at his peak, Kobe might've been the most dangerous perimeter scorer ever, even over MJ. But peaking highest a scorer isn't the same as being the GOAT basketball player. Kobe was just too inconsistent from a game by game, season by season basis to be in the same conversation with MJ, whether that's FG%, efficiency, defense and just being less impactful because he wasn't as athletic and explosive as MJ.

But still, Kobe was a beast as a scorer at his peak.

Bird had a nice 5 game stretch in 1988.

39.2ppg 14.2rpg 6.0apg 57.3fg% 52.63pt% 91.7ft%

Over his first five games of the season he averaged

Westbrooks triple double chaos last season was probably the best I've ever seen

Russell Westbrook

2/26/15 - 3/8/15

40.2ppg 12.2rpg 11.2apg 2.6spg 42%FG 83%FT

He faced Phoenix, Portland, Philly, Chicago, and Toronto. The team ended up 2-3, but Russell was literally the only one on his team doing shit effectively.

If I'm remembering that stretch correctly, the Portland and Chicago games were close losses? I think either Aaron Brooks or Tony Snell won Chicago the game on a long buzzer beater.

Red is on record all over the place saying Chamberlain was uncoachable.

Interesting...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wilt_Chamberlain

During summer vacations Chamberlain worked as a bellhop in Kutsher's Hotel. Subsequently, owners Milton and Helen Kutsher kept up a lifelong friendship with Wilt, and according to their son Mark, "They were his second set of parents."[19] Red Auerbach, the coach of the Boston Celtics, spotted the talented teenager at Kutscher's and had him play 1-on-1 against Kansas University standout and national champion, B. H. Born, elected the Most Valuable Player of the 1953 NCAA Finals. Chamberlain won 25-10; Born was so dejected that he gave up a promising NBA career and became a tractor engineer ("If there were high school kids that good, I figured I wasn't going to make it to the pros"),[20] and Auerbach wanted Chamberlain to go to a New England university, so he could draft him as a territorial pick for the Celtics, but Chamberlain did not respond

BTW, Wilt changed his game more than any other GOAT candidate.

Wait, this includes regular season? I saw Jordan'snumbers posted earlier, but those were all playoffs to my knowledge (which makes it more incredible). Here's a great 5 game stretch from MJ during 1990:

46.4 pts/9.4 reb/6.0 ast/3.2 stl/1.2 blk/60% FG/68% TS

Included three consecutive games of 69/49/47 points.

That's the stretch where Shaq had his career high... Dropped 61 vs the Clippers, savage af.

Bird's best 5 game stretch in the 1987-88 regular-season is probably that one, yea

He has a 5 game stretch from 1984-85 where he averaged 41.2 PPG on 59.4% FG and 93.6% FT... Had his career high, 60 points, in one of those games.

Larry also has a 10 game stretch in 1985-86, when McHale was out, where he put up 28.3 / 13.4 / 9.3 APG... Had 6 triple-doubles.
