The only edge in scoring Jordan had was ft's. If shaq could hit ft's his ppg and ts would be higher. So outside of ft shooting shaq was a more dominant presence.

I think MJ was the most impactful player ever regardless of position so i give the slight edge to him. When you consider his lights out D, non-stop motor and GOAT scoring abilities along with his athleticism? No player turned defense into offense quicker and more often than him. He reigned supreme on both ends.

Well, in the grand scheme of things, a great rim protector is the most impactful defender but when you combine all factors, i give MJ the slight nod. To me, he was the most impactful player ever due to his dominant, two way ability. No one was better at turning defense into offense better than MJ. But if anyone picks Shaq, no big deal.
