Honestly, it's ridiculous that they picked LeBron James as their prediction for league MVP this year.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/13459486/2015-summer-forecast-most-valuable-player

Look at that list for a second and think about it. They put the reigning MVP at number 5. FIVE.

The reigning MVP is currently murdering the league in a way that hasn't been seen, EVER. 36 PPG on 58% shooting. 52% Threes. It's crazy.

And ESPN was picking LeBron James to be the MVP? Seriously?

Dude visibly walked out of his prime LAST year. How could they possibly think he wouldn't be declining further this year?

It's all so ridiculous that I had to come out of retirement just to get it all typed out onto the screen.

Anyway, long live the true MVP. Heck, he can even do it with the sleeves unlike the "King."

PS Go Lakers.

For real though, why are you bitching about this? ESPN slurps LeBron, stop the presses!

I always come to LeBron's rescue, despite me not liking him, his personality, and his stans at all. Weird logic. Please elaborate.

Without ESPN, Bran would only be known as a choking, colluding coward.

There's a difference between slurping LeBron ("Wow, how brave, ripping off his sleeves!" "Wow, look at how he says Love will be the focal point of the offense!") and being completely off the ****ing rocker ("LeBron will be league MVP" even though Stephen Curry completely outplayed him last year and showed absolutely no signs of slowing down while LeBron is literally getting to the age where everyone starts declining).

So, yeah.

Kobe fans having a huge meltdown. Your Boy won't even win the MVP even if he plays in the Euroleague, or even in China.

It's sickening that you still hate LeBron in 2015.

I'm a Laker fan. I wish Kobe would retire.

Any other thoughts?

And the season is not yet over. Just last week the Rockets were 0-3 and many people were making fun of them. And after they beat the Kings they now have the same record as the OKC Thunder.

Implying that LeBron James will sniff the MVP award this year?

Lebron also had a slow start last season. He started to put up MVP numbers in January.

He's going to play major minutes once the Cavaliers play against the tough teams in the East and West.

What's even worse is they ranked Kobe the 93rd best player. :facepalm. In reality he is barely top 200.
Nice of you to come out of hiding btw. Madsen is still too embarrassed to show his face here. :lol

Lebron could probably gun for the MVP but he'd wear himself out and probably get injured. So you're right this prediction by ESPN makes little sense for Lebron at this point in his career. It makes even less sense after the whole "we're featuring Kevin Love" statement.

Lebron isn't going to waste his body on trying for another MVP. He only cares about the finals at this point. So it's a dumb prediction. Better to go with someone younger hitting their prime who doesn't have all that mileage on them.
