It may never be broken again by someone not named Curry

Inb4 "I don't respect Curry because he couldn't score 25 or more points on just 2-pointers"

curry is mainly a gimmick player

this style of play doesn't do well in championship series especially if lebron is on the other side ready to shut it down

people talk about players getting robbed of some awards.
Curry was easily the best player in last years finals.

easily.
He attracted double team from half court line and still put up 25/6/5.
Meanwhile Bron was defended straight up single coverage from three point line and in only game where he was doubled he barely got 20 on bad efficiency.

Probably.

It's his bread and butter. He takes a LOT of them. Being sincere he's looking like the greatest shooter and/or three point shooter of all-time, quite easily. Or at least the best I've ever seen.

Chef Curry has been playing amazing ball the past 3 seasons coming into his own, gaining confidence, and staying injury free. He's basically doing what he did at Davidson now in the League.

He looks like he's playing with more confidence, aggression, and edge than he even did last season in his MVP campaign. With a chip on his shoulder.

At best he's still an average defender though. And I'd still like to see him rack up more assists in that offense with all the talent he plays with.

You're probably one of those that hates Lebron. And I know the only way you can probably view him is through his faults. Which is fine, you're entitled to do that if you want.

But Curry was not easily the best player in last years finals.

It's not really about pure assist numbers though. That team just moves the ball so well. He makes plenty of plays happen.

Curry was the best player ON HIS TEAM

He is the best shooter of all time. I really dont understand why people still debate this.

What would you rather have, a good-ish mid range game and the best 3 point game ever? or a good-ish 3 point game and the best 3 point game ever?

And curry shot 47% from midrange years prior when he actually shot those shots.

Best on his team? Yes.
Most impactful on his team? No.

itll be amazing watching him break the single game record...over and over.

No way. I think this is just the beginning. The 3ptr is getting bigger and bigger every year. Guys saw how successful the Suns' and D'Antoni's offense was so pretty much every team spreads the floor like they used to now. Now that the Warriors have shown you can win a championship with the 3 ball, its gonna result in even more emphasis on the 3.

The future will have even more guys capable of the 3 ptr than now. Guys like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller will go the way of George Mikan. Curry is just the start of the new breed.

Curry is like mark price meets steve nash on steroids.

He's got more wiggle than those guys but still is a dangerous shooter.

This is true... Curry is revolutionizing the three point shot
Dudes shots in the future are going to be much more wet than today because it is the focal point of the sport right now

The midrange game will suffer. It's crazy how cycles like this happen. I felt like the 2000's Tmac,VC,Pierce,Kobe,Marbury all had a great midrange game and decent 3 point shot.

Now guys can hit that 3 real good but lack a midrange jumper.

VC wasn't very good from midrange as far as I remember. Don't think Marbury was "great" either. But ya guys in general were better from mid then, than they are now.

It also might be misleading. If one is shooting 40% from 3 and 47% from midrange, is it really worth it to step inside?
