Klay is a very good SG. You don't need to downplay him in order to prop Curry. Everyone knows Curry is a beast.

PER means jack shit for comparisons. If you go by PER Aaron Gordon and Jared Sullinger are some of the best power fowards in the league. Joe Ingles is a top 10 SF. Lauvergne and Capela are the top centres in the league. It's a handy stat but needs context and shouldn't be used in small sample size large scale comparisons like this

Klay is a very good SG. He is a solid role player level 2 guard. I'm not even trolling here bro but does Klay Thompson make the All-Star game with ANY other team besides the warriors?

What SG in the league would you rather have than Klay?
Also, he had a 20.8 PER last year. Why are you using a handful game sample size that means nothing statistically?
Do you people actually think stats matter after 6 games?

Of course stats matter after 6 games. This is an accurate look at how the league has progressed so far in the first 2 weeks. If you want to invent some arbitrary cut off where stats start to "matter" then that is fine, I'm not subscribing to it however.

Your question is irrelevant to who the best Shooting Guards in the league are.
Just because Klay Thompson thrives while playing in Curry's system doesn't make Thompson a better player.
Harden, Wade, DeRozan, Beal, and Butler are all superior players to Klay Thompson.

But my argument isn't that Klay is the best shooting guard in the league...it's he's the best fit for sg on the Warriors and around the 20th or so best player in the league.
What you fail to realize is that certain players are better suited for certain roles.
I don't think Wade is better than Klay anymore...don't think Beal is either, but I don't care about that stuff.
We all know the agenda here...and your refusal to answer the question (because you've realized there probably isn't one other sg you'd rather have on the Warriors) tells us everything we need to know.
You also just under-rate Klay. His shooting and defense would be a huge asset to any team. How you define him is also not relevant. I don't care if you call him a role player or not...he's a top 20 player in the league. Just like Draymond Green.

Agenda? You sound like a paranoid schitzophrenic.
Klay Thompson benefits hugely from playing in Steph Curry's system, he is not an all star nor a top level shooting guard. He is a solid role player that maximizes his output and hides his low BBIQ by playing in Curry's system. These are undeniable facts here.

No they aren't undeniable facts.
He is one of the best shooters ever. This has absolutely nothing to do with Curry. He is also a very good to great on ball and team defender...yes, this is in part due to the team the Warriors have, but nothing to do with Curry at all.
What you say is just false. You really think Klay wouldn't be an all star if he played in place of Korver on the Hawks?
He'd make that team better than Korver does on both ends because he's simply a better player on both ends.
Undeniable facts? You have no idea what you are talking about.
And the sick thing is...I'm lower on Klay than most. Have been for a while...and you still come off as a moron to someone that thinks Klay tends to get a tad overrated.

I as many of you may know I am a diehard Pacers fan but I have been watching many Golden State games this season. OP if you are saying Klay Thompson is worse than 20+ shooting guards in the league then you are wrong. Klay Thompson is a very good player although he is 2 dimensional. He is an elite shooter but he gets the best looks in the NBA which enhances his statistics. He is a mediocre ball handler and not really a playmaker but he is a solid defender. Klay Thompson is somewhere in the top 5 shooting guards in the league while playing for Golden State.
