can not go wrong with either, I think Davis is more versatile, but I'm choosing the guy 20/20

Drummond is a better defender, but he also has the issue of being a terrible free throw shooter and prone to being hacked.

Give me AD. More offensive skill and is still versatile on D.

No offense to Drummond, whom I had #2 in that draft, but AD could really use Reggie Jackson right now. Somebody but Ish Smith & Toney Douglas would make him look really good, too.

I absolutely love what Drummond is doing though.

I said Drummond would be the best player in the draft back in 2012.

Still don't think he is there yet, but he is just behind AD.

Foul shooting is only an issue(outside of actually getting fouled in the act of shooting) is at the end of a game. He's a stronger body than AD, but he isn't close in terms of range and AD is a better shot blocker. Also, let's not get aroused looking at his first 6 box scores. If he's still doing this at the 15-20 game mark, then perhaps. He's only 6 games in.

Agreed that Davis is a better shot blocker. The numbers point to that obviously, but I consider Drummond to be a better paint protector despite getting less blocks.

Anthony Davis and it's not close btw. He's struggling now, but by midseason this thread will be laughable.

Absolutely amazing.

Im reading all the old threads on Drummond pre draft. Every single poster except one is very high on him. There are kings and cavs fans begging their team to take him. Portland fans drooling over him. Its just amazing. Even I knew Drummond was the BPA overall and at the very least number two

Yet this guys drops so low for no reason. Nba draft scouts really ****ed up. How you draft Dion Waiters (could have had a Tristian Tom and Drummond front court), thomas robinson, terrence ross, and mkg (will be a great player) over this guy is unreal

How Jordan couldnt recognize his talent just doesnt make sense to me. It was obvious teams were relying on draft scouts reports.

Seems things have changed. With teams making their decisions now based on workouts. Explains how Porzingis stock was raised

As laughable as your "Dirk-led team will never win a title" thread?

Give me Davis. Hoping you guys understood my pick by context in my 1st post.

AD is beastin right now, but AD is the better shooter with many more options to score and, on the long term, wil be a better player.

I'd take The Great Kendrick Perkins.

Drummond had bad practice habits dating back to Uconn. The fear was he would come in and be immature and not practice to his potential. Honestly, him falling was the best thing that happened. I don't feel he would have worked as hard if he was the number 1 pick. Look at his UConn tape and you'll see a guy who did not really hustle and had brain farts.

not so crazy of a question as would have appeared early in the year

drummond is a better defender than davis. he knows how to use his body to smother penetration without fouling. goes straight up and stuffs the nightmare out of guys who full extend. alters bad shots when they readjust.

pistons have a top defense this season and he's the major reason why. certainly isn't marcus morris or reggie jackson or illyasova (who's playing really well btw)

drummond appears to be the eastern conference answer for demarcus cousins

but he ain't better than anthony davis and the reason is that filthy jumpshot

double clutch fadeaway from 30 feet at the buzzer?
