Melbourne is the most liveable I've seen, good public transport, not crazy expensive, great sports and events. It's a shit city to go to as a tourist but it's good to live in. Basically the list says Australia and Canada are the GOAT countries.

Perth would probably be higher if it wasn't such an expensive place to live

Don't know why Adelaide is higher than Perth and Sydney though, it's boring as batshit

But Canada HAS invited immigrants/refugees.

Go to Toronto, Ottawa and you'll see immigrants from different areas of the world.

Canadian mentality and policies are different than those of other countries. They tend to be more tolerant and accepting. They understand that aiding immigrants is a benefit for all in the long run.

I've been living here for almost 3 years and Im still surprised at how liberal they are. I considered myself a liberal, but Canadians take the cake man. They have policies that leave me shocked.

Not only is Canada prosperous but is one of the most tolerant countries. As for immigration the country is shifting from a white Atlantic based country to a Asian pacific nation. Immigration will continue to increase to repace older white Canadians in the work force

Really depends on where you are at. Here in Alberta people are mad conservative, at least outside of Calgary.

srs?

You go to Adelaide Uni? I was supposed to go there before I moved.

It isn't bad, but you notice when you move it is quite small, quiet, and lacking in things to do compared to other major cities.
In Melbourne and even Brisbane I can always find something to do on any given night, at pretty much any time.

I'm obviously joking when I say it was shit, but I don't think I could live there now as a young, working person who still likes to go out, and do a bunch of different things.

Where abouts in Adelaide you live?

Helps when the big L liberal party is the most successful political party in the western world. That consensus has molded so much of what it means to be Canadian to most. I would love to see them die off like in the UK so we could see a principle right/left vision vs. the mushy middle

I'm in the city and there's things to do, but you just need to know where to go, just like when I was in Melbourne, I had no idea what's good during the weekdays so didn't end up doing much.

We got some different festival on like every day here, not a lot of places in the city are open weeknights but you can go out any night. Half the year I work weekend nights so I head out weeknights then.

What's lacking from Adelaide?

I graduated from UniSA couple years ago.

I'm not even sure how to explain it. I did always appreciate the festivals that took place in Adelaide though.

I think what it comes down to is diversity of choices. A bigger city just has more to offer. In terms of views, availability, range, geographically, etc...

I'm just saying on an average night here in Brisbane for example. If, for whatever reason, I want to do something at 2am, there are a variety of restaurants still running, a bowling alley, always bars to drink at, more lookouts, etc.

I love a sprawling city life. Probably a big reason as to why I loved New York when I went. Same with Melbourne. There is just more options in bigger places.

I will say that I love the 24 hour pie place on the Parade though. That and the Yiros place on the parade too. Best yiros in the whole Australia.

You go to high school in Adelaide?

Lived in the northern suburbs of Adelaide all my life until recently.

Got 4 24hr bakeries within 15 min drive if me atm.

I didn't see much of the sprawling city nightlife when I've visited Melbourne..

Guess you gotta know the right people... I was shown around to a whole bunch of funky places late at night on a weekday.

I've lived in Adealide for 8 years of my life. I know it quite well. It just doesn't offer as much as the bigger cities. It is a nice place to settle down if you're older, since it really does have some nice, kept away suburbs that look amazing, but I wouldn't want to live there as a 20+ year old.
There are more opportunities in bigger cities. Both job wise, and entertainment wise.

Melbourne is GOAT because of the footy culture. Let's face it

Melbourne is BANGING during the AFL season... Strong sports ties, which is strong community

Helsinki is a super boring city. Not even gonna compare it to places from other regions. Is "got nothing to see nor do" part of the liveability index??

Just in scandinavia alone to keep things similar, copenhagen, stockholm, oslo >>>>>> helsinki

This list is retarded.
