Inside hoops forum, when operating smoothly, and not over-run by Bran/Kobe/WB/Curry Stans..... serves as a centralized highlight reel for the current stories and perspectives we don't get on ESPN or NBATV.

If while browsing that.....I see an aforementioned stan topic, and have to sh!t on anyone saying 1993 MJ isnt still the peak of all basketball history......I'll do that. Gladly. With extreme prejudice. But that aint why I'm here.

Tier 2: Wilt, MJ, Pippen, Magic, Bird, Duncan, West

Tier 3: Nash, Kobe, Curry, Drexler, Bill Russell, Pau, Pierce, Cousy

There is nothing more to discuss. These are the tiers.

Where u think all these Curry threads come from?

We, the lebron stans, are too insecure to admit that Curry is boiling hot right now.

Yes, Michael Jordan is the GOAT and his career resume debunks any claims to the contrary, but his workmanship sadly is not the loudest voice in the GOAT discussions; LeBron stans and their smokes-and-mirrors arguments are.

So why do Jordan fans waste their breath counterarguing these controversions when they know LeBron stans are in the wrong?

While there are the 3balls of the NBA microcosms that are hyper-defensive to Jordan, the fact is that many want to confute these claims because if they go unaddressed, the more casual fans will just continue to perpetuate these notions until they're regurgitated enough that the masses feel compelled to believe it's true; it takes itself to another scale when the media themselves try to push these Jordan-LeBron comparisons, when they're really not even that close. The LeBron stans themselves may be obstinate, but there are open-minded NBA fans that can be dissuaded for the better if these arguments are asserted.

It was the same vicious cycle with Kobe Bryant in 2001-2010; that's when he was by far the most popular player in the world

Because lies gone unchecked become the truth.

Differing opinions on a subjective matter aren't lies nor facts.

Anyone saying Lebron is better than MJ is lying. That's not subject to opinion, breh.

Aside from that, plenty of other untruths have been spread around here by the haters, plenty of shit that only fools who weren't around back then or too young to remember would say. It's fun to check their monkey asses doe.

Anyone who says "blank, and it ain't even close" should never be taken seriously. Even if it's Mj. Current fans don't believe the fairy tale, and they shouldn't. Old school fans think he was better and they should. The real truth is I between those 2 trains of thought imo.

I agree that 3ball and the like (fans of retired players) have a few screws loose.. but then again you wished an injury to your favorite player.. what kind of fan does that?

Differing opinions on a subjective matter aren't lies nor facts.

You're correct in saying that it's a subjectified argument and that it's all opinon-constructed, but there are still varying levels of credibility of opinions as far as perception dictates; the most reputable ones at that stem from the concrete facts themselves, which all substantiate the notion that Michael Jordan was a better impact player than LeBron has ever been.

Now, it is possible for one to lie about and misrepresent the pertinent facts to an argument, but I don't see that with most stans; rather, they just use selective facts and hyperbole to prop up LeBron over Jordan while conveniently omitting any disfavoring facts to their argument. They even go as far as to baselessly discredit Jordan's competition or overplay LeBron's because they know that the stats prove Jordan's superiority but want to distort the fundamental narratives behind them.

The league has sorely missed Jordan, and while it has been teeming with much newer talent since, no one has made the same impact on the league that he has since; the media knows this, which is why they want to sensationalize the current players by lending unduly comparisons to the GOAT himself. Once LeBron himself retires, they'll likely give more earth-leveled comparisons to Jordan (as has been the case with Kobe; the narratives have been more sensible as his career has been waning away), but it's sadly going to be a circle of life with new superstar-narrative concoctions until a player truly surpasses Michael Jordan

You don't "check" anyone on this forum. Your full extent of basketball analysis on this board is quoting what 3ball, DonDadda, or some other MJ stan says and then posting some dumbass comment like "Dayyyuuuummm!" or "Slayed :lol"
