Im not trying to be racist but i know quite a few people who try to hide the fact that they have a certain blood in them. And i really dont understand why.

i don't think pride is a collective device...
if you're community is working hard and you're contributing, personal pride is part of the package
but even if your community is thriving, a lack of personal contribution leads not to pride but to shame
besides which... race is literal hodge podge
be proud of your ancestry in that it is completely undefinable
from my understanding, the lineage of each and every one of us can be traced back to time immemorial... thus?

I'm not proud of being white; whites, as a whole, are cowardly.
When I see videos online of whites getting the shit kicked out of them by blacks, it enrages me that these whites are so cowardly and pathetic.

It's just as well, since you're not allowed to anyway. Only minorities are allowed to be 'proud of their race.'
Quite honestly though, there's no need to be proud of one's own race only. I can be proud of what white people/culture has achieved and improved throughout history, and I can also feel proud of other peoples and admire what they have done.
By the same token, when it comes to practical communal living, everyone has their own affinities and aversions. Some people are simply more xenophobic than others. It is a completely natural variance just like preference for certain food tastes. Trying to police the thoughts and words of every person and coercively standardizing them into some impossible liberal ideal is a complete waste of time. But it makes the average lefty feel powerful and important, so that's why we have to keep dealing with these idiots' dumb crusades.

Not really. Not ashamed of it either. It's kind of a non-factor if you're of non-Italian European decent in America. We have the Tulip Festival where I'm from, but I don't really give a shit and I'm surely not going to walk around in clogs. Maybe some Germans get into it a bit because of the food.

I have so much mixture I don't identify with one race. Geographically my parents are from a hispanic country even though their first language is English. That part of the Carribean Basin was once ruled by the British rather than the Spanish. When it comes to hispanic people, some groups more than others are embarrassing. Some are more hardworking than others. Some are just lazy handout bums. I have German, Swedish, Native American, Black/Carribean blood. I may have Indian..Indians were indentured servants centuries ago. Indian chicks and Filipina's like me for some reason, they probably think I'm Indian..I have some relatives that have that Indian look. I have relatives that are White like Europeans to dark skin.

In the sense where I can look back at some of their accomplishments and think it's cool? Sure, but it's nothing I accomplished so Im not going to get much from it. But, it's interesting reading about what my ancestors were up to...I've yet to figure out what I am exactly, will be doing one of those DNA tests soon. But from what I know, mostly French, Irish, Scottish, English, and Native American.

Race is too broad to be "proud" of. If you're an Irishman, are you "proud" of Russians? Why would you be?
these "proud of my people" feelings are usually for people who are insecure about their own people.

It all depends on context and specific situations. If you are talking with some Russians, you might not relate with them, but against ,lets say,Asian fella you might bring up Tolstoy as your own.

And you usually only hear about guys like Garvey, Carver etc.
They haven't even touched the real nikkas like SUNDJATA the crippled boy turned BADASS WARRIOR.
Proud American! first and foremost.
**** any whitey who don't see me as an equal American. I'm talking about fcktards like Jeb Bush who sees certain immigrants as a lesser citizen.
Out of all the options you have to talk about someone seeing immigrants as lesser citizens, you choose the one guy who is pro-immigrant.

Lol.
Well if by "certain immigrants" you mean illegal immigrants... then, yeah, that would be the correct view. Because they arent citizens at all.
Nobody gives a shit about immigrants. They give a shit about illegal immigrants. There is a big difference.
Not to your average democrat voter. Of course, not knowing the difference isn't really an excuse but...

Trump made his controversial comments about Mexicans and immigrants. Jeb chimed and said that anchor baby immigrant were another problem, pointing his fingers at Asian immigrants just so he didn't come off as if he's insulting Hispanics. He actually made it worse for Conservatives by saying that.
So you got most of Red state rednecks already hating on Mexicans, saying they're cross the borders to here and steal out jobs. Hating on poor uneducated (while still hardworking) Mexican illegals/immigrants was already a common view among conservatives. Now Jeb wants his party to have issues with Asian immigrants too? These are mostly immigrants who come here on visas for work and school, a much higher status than Mexican illegal immigrants.
Basically, it doesn't matter if it's a low labor working Mexican immigrant or a college educated Asian immigrant, as long as these "colored" people are making America less and less white, then Jeb Bush and his party will take issues to it.
So you got Jeb looking at Asian immigrants as a lesser American and Trump looking at Mexicans as a lesser American, that's how rednecks sees anybody who's not white.
You will never hear anybody one of those talk shit about East European immigrants coming here. Why is that?
So what?
Every non-white majority country on earth has FAR more institutional color bias and racism than white countries. Why would white people wanna become a minority in a society like that?
There is nothing wrong with white people wanting to preserve a white majority. Nothing. N.O.T.H.I.N.G.
Nobody has to be ashamed of saying it. It's just nature. You know, that evolution stuff? It's okay, white folks. It's an inherent part of nature to want to be safely on the side of the dominant group/culture. Every human and every society experiences it. We dont have to apologize. No need to be intimidated by loser white kids who want to carve out some identity of being hip and contrarian by pointing the finger at other whites. You can be honest with yourself. Dont let phony moralists push you around.

Illegal or naturalized immigrants, doesn't matter....redneck don't want America to be less white.
Why should/would they?

Because you guys shouldn't be scared of a mixed/diverse nation.
Maybe not, bt it represents an unknown. How would that country look culturally, how would it operate politically, what would it mean for my grandkids to possibly be minorities themselves?
I'm not saying it's some national death sentence, I'm just saying the desire to preserve the status quo is certainly rational. And the older the person, the more likely they are to harbor it. If Jeb Bush wants to keep the country a white majority, that's his opinion. Doesnt matter to me. Im not gonna villify him for it. Obviously if you want to, that's your prerogative, but I dont think youre taking the time to look at it from his vantage point.

He seems to be against birthright citizenship based on that anchor baby remarks. So when you have him going against another group (Asians) of predominantly naturalized immigrants, while most other conservatives are against Mexican immigrants, it makes it look like their whole party just don't like immigrants all together.
First it was just going after Mexicans. Then Jeb going after "anchor baby" immigrants, whose parents came here for work or school. It just comes out like Reps don't like any kind of immigrant.
A lot of immigrants do come here to work, but, on the other hand, a lot of them do come to drop a baby and start collecting citizenship benefits without having ever paid into the system. This isnt something Im just making up. I know hispanic girls whove told me about specific relatives who do it, and there's plenty of statistical evidence showing it happens frequently.
What is wrong with reforming the system to prevent ILLEGAL immigration, so that only the honest immigrants can get here?
Like, why would that be bad?
You are taking things too personally. Opposing illegal immigration, opposing a flood of people coming in from outside the US cultural bounds, this doesnt mean anyone thinks any less of you as a us citizen just bc you may be hispanic or azn. Its about creating the rigt social environment for ALL of us going forward. Which may mean reducing the number of people who come here from your same background. So what? If you only want them here bc you want to be part of a larger group, even if its not healthy for america overall, thats actually quite selfish.

Yes..this is exactly it. I couldn't it into words carefully.
My step-uncle did exactly this. He came here to study, marries a white girl, had a son with her so he doesn't have to go back home. His brother, my step-dad did the same. Came here to serve for U.S. military, marries my mom and had my half-brother and half-sister, he's a citizen by doing that.
It is a SNEAKY way of doing it...but it's legal. Documented, paper works in order, the whole nine yard. Asians are notorious for doing this.
My immediate family (not counting half-siblings) came here because we were civil war refugees. Technically, we had no country to stay. That's another type of immigration. 1. illegal, 2. war-child/family immigrants, 3. anchor babies.
Recently, some conservatives don't even want Syrian refugees to come here either. It's like conservatives are anti-immigration as a whole.
Well you and your fam might be good, working peeps, and that's fine. But there are others who skirt the system and come here just to scam. Show up illegally, have a kid, milk uncle sam, collect benefits.
Thats the main thing people want to prevent. Sure, there might be some people who just want a white country. Thats their opinion to have, but the fact still remains that we should try to prevent people abusing the system. We could still permit people to come here and work labor jobs. But they should still have to wait to be approved, and those who do not wait should not be welcomed.

My problem with that is, I don't have any other country to go to. America is the only place for me. Remarks like that makes me feel like my naturalized citizenship is lesser value. I belong here as much as any other American.
Or, it means that they're against breaking the law, regardless of what race the person breaking the law is. :hammerhead:
