Wow. Charlotte and the Raps got lucky there. Although after last nights missed sideline call it's probably good karma for the raps and our draft pick. Ball appeared to still be on his finger tips when the clock went to 0.0. But it did appear that the clock went red as there was .1 left. Really close though. Typically the ball doesn't leave your fingertips until the follow through starts. AS the clock goes to 0.0 the ball was still on his fingertips and the follow-through had yet to start.
Horrible defensive play by Charlotte, they deserved to lose for being that brain dead. Porzingis needed to be squaring up on the pass a little better as he wasted a bit of time getting his feet square.
Guys a stud though!!

I've never seen a 7 footer elevate like that for a jumpshot...ever.

They also screwed up the time left for Porzingod to shoot.

The light may have been on at 0.1, but he still has the ball in his hands even with time up.

It was the right call either way.

Ball was still in his fingertips at 0.0

it was very close. you need to play/pause/play/pause/play/pause to see it but its obvious he didnt get it off in time if you look at it like that. he missed it by only like 0.03 seconds. you wouldnt notice it though if you just watch it without slowing the whole clip.

Here it is at at 0. It's out of his hands.

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CTlHZWLUYAAmjhe.jpg:large

The original call on the court was that the shot was good. There is not enough definitive evidence that he possessed the ball when the clock hit 0. We clearly see it's out.

Well had the refs put the proper amount of time on the clock after the Bobcats scored, it's a non issue.

It's not very clear at all from that angle and with the quality of the image above. Besides, if you watch the replay it's not like the clock starts on time when he first receives the ball, so it goes both ways...it is what it is.

Ballsy shot for a rookie nonetheless, confidence-inspiring to see.

the dude was booed out of the friggin' building on draft night. but by now he has already been trusted with taking the last shot of the game. he's also got a bunch of "dunk on you and your whole worthless family" highlights... and he hasn't even played 10 games in the nba yet.

He's a freakin beast and that shot was a thing of beauty. Knicks fans should be excited.

Like I said in the other thread, instead of being upset with the call Knicks fans should be upset that the team blew a double digit lead.

I was dissapointed in Kenny Smith, as a queens native, still letting race and image cloud his judgement on his home team lottery pick. Like Kenny.....not one Latvian ever did anything wrong to any black folks....wisen up, son. This ain't that fight.

Reverse racism in the NBA media lol

I hate instant replay.

If my team won a title because a shot like that was waved off after it had originally been counted good, I would still hate instant replay. It ruins everything.

Inbound passer passed it too low though. Being able to hit a guy right between the numbers with a pass is an underrated skill. There are many guys purporting to be top tier point guards (Rondo, Wall, formerly Arenas) who cannot do it.

Melo got 2 wrong calls his way over the last 2 games, so it's a wash.

There'll be more KP highlight reels as we continue. Stay tuned -

Nice shot, rook. Shame about the ref, and their booing fans. They should be worried that one day, after that incident, he might just pack up and leave.

yea they fked that up. honestly its so close it could have gone either way. there is something weird about that light coming on at 0.1, then zinger releases the shot, then the clock strikes zero

but bottom line there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the made basket call

maybe there was enough evidence to maintain a no basket ruling

but the refs called it a made basket

thus... bad call

I agree donks. Definitely looked too close to call to me. It would suck to lose that way if you're a Charlotte fan, but that was too awesome and too close not to count.
