The next Dirk Nowitzki?
Also why does Stephen A pronounce his name wrong??

I'd say his ceiling is at minimum 9 ft, maybe 10-ft, considering the fact that he is 8 ft himself.
SAS pronounces his name wrong because SAS is black.

Only ceiling that can support his height is the sky and barely

He is 9 foot 3... He is obviously going to need ceilings taller than 9 foot bro...

His true ceiling is a few levels above MJ.
His floor is a level above Dirk.
Godzingas is special. Players like him only come around once every few generations.

I don't know if he can shoot as good as Dirk someday but I think he can be a better defender.
SAS probably pronounces his name wrong on purpose, he's one xenophobist and racist motherfcker.

I see some similarities to Dirk be cause he's tall, euro, and can shoot. But he got a good 2-3 feet on Dirk. It's like comparing IT to LeBron because they both can appear to be unstoppable going to the rim at times and both are black. Not much else there.
I see a little Shaq in that he's a freak athletically and isn't afraid of dunking on people. But, again, he's at least 3-5 feet taller than Shaq and got a jumper.
Maybe a little Sampson. But Zinger isn't a *****, isn't injury prone, and he's at least 7-8 feet taller.
idk...

I hate how half the posts on him will be about his 'height'. Wow guys, you're all so funny
Knicks fans finally have someone everyone can universally root for and all we get are joke posts. I understand y'all like him too...but seriously the height thing is already been beaten to a pulp, I don't even know who you're all trying to troll with it, prob cavsftw.
I actually appreciate genaro's, jimmy's and burning's posts
His ceiling? I can only hope it's Dirk-like. I doubt he will ever be as automatic a shooter, but I see his defense being better. He seems tougher as well. I worry about him with his putback dunks, I don't want to see him landing awkwardly on someone.

Legit serious though, I would be way surprised if he never becomes a 20/10 guy, he's got all the tools to do so, and still isn't even 21 (unless I'm mistaken)

Cant be helped; there has never been a 13'9" guy with his athleticism and mobility...

Talent wise he has a very high celing, I'm worried about a couple of knee or foot injuries as he's very dependant on being able to move around the way he does now.

People keep comparing him to Dirk. But Porzingis is 7'3 AND very athletic for a player that size. So when it comes to that, I see more Ralph Sampson in his game. He also has some impressive shooting range for a player that size too. So I think he has some Sabonis in him.
But overall, I ACTUALLY think he's closer to Sampson (athletic ability, finesse, body type) than anybody. Plus Sabonis was a center. While I think Sampson and KP are PF-C hybrids.
So if he can get close to Sampson at his best (22 points, 10-11 boards, 2 blocks) AND stay healthy, u are talking a consistent All Star with HOF potential. And THE GUY who can carry out what Sampson was on his way to accomplishing.

He's a blonde Euro, hence the Dirk comparisons. I dont see a resemblance in their game.

Obviously I'm underselling his potential, but in terms of how they play and move on the court and their body type, Keon is the closest I've seen to Porzy in my years watching the NBA.

Once again with the Dirk comparison, Dirk is one of the greatest shooters of all time. And when it comes to the big man positions, likely the best shooter of all time. KP can shoot very good, but his J (at least as of now) isn't on Dirk's level. His athletic ability, interior defense, and inside-outside offensive skills are more like a Sampson. Plus Dirk is 3-4 inches shorter. In KP's case (like a Sampson) he can be great at more things. But I'm not saying he will be better than Dirk though.

Height wise, he's similar to Smits and Big Z. BUT he's WAY MORE ATHLETIC!!! And he can handle the ball better as well. And KP's main position as of right now is PF. He's a PF-C hybrid. Smits and Big Z are centers flat out. For guys 7'3 and up, KP, Sampson, and young Sabonis are on another level than other guys that size. In terms of agility and skill level. He's more in line with those guys.
I see why some people say Dirk in terms of the midrange game and very good handles for a 7 footer. But once again, Dirk is three to four inches shorter than KP. And is a better three point shooter. While KP is more effective in the interior than Dirk.

Sounds like a goofy comparison, but maybe Prime Marion statistically. 21/10, a better shot, a couple blocks and assists.
