View Full Version : It wasn't supposed to be this way for Durant

He was supposed to be the face of the League after LeBron not Curry. One of the greatest scoring seasons of all time culminating in his 4th scoring title and an MVP yet it's all been downhill from here.

Curry's the new media darling & face of the League along with LeBron & there's now a serious ongoing debate if he's even the best player on the team anymore.

You can't blame the media for hopping on the bandwagon. Durant can do this we all know but he is playing on a team with another superstar who garners a lot of the spotlight himself. The main thing for Durant is to stay healthy so his team can contend for the ultimate prize.

If he helps the Thunder beat the Warriors in the playoffs, they will be back on his bandwagon. Gotta get there though.

Well Curry is the best player in the league through 10 games and Westbrook is close. Certainly Westbrook > Durant thus far.

What are you sad about? Those are the facts.

At his size he doesn't have much time in this league before he'll break down. I always lol'd at people saying he'd have elite longevity.

Every hero needs a villain.

He'll go back to being the Slim Reaper.

I think he'll reallllly show up in the playoffs this year.

OKC v. GSW in the WCF.
