Anybody come from a dysfunctional,broken home, or atypical family? For example : No daddy. Mom was a crack hoe. I never knew my real parents. Tell us. It can be as personal as you want it to be. I just hope that others can be respectful.
I grew up with both parents. 2 other siblings. What made my family not "normal" was my mother's condition. She was a perfectly healthy person. She was a nurse. After giving birth to my youngest sibling, she had a breakdown. At that time in my parent's home country there was a war. Very stressful time. Well she became mentally ill. Paranoid Schizophrenic. So I grew up with a schizophrenic mother. My parents migrated to America. My father worked on his own very hard and supported my mother and 3 kids..much respect. When she was on her meds she was sort of normal. When not on her meds it was something else. I remember people making fun of my mom and looking at her strange. People can be cruel.
