Ty Lawson has been a shitty fit with Houston. This is Rondo in Dallas all over again. Either McHale needs to man up and bring him off the bench or Morey needs to trade his trash ass.

He's been so unbelievably passive, it's insane. It's like he doesn't even want to attack the basket. I feel like Ty would be way better suited coming off the bench, rather than starting. Harden can do his job with the lineup, and Ty can do his part coming off the bench. He'd have the ball in his hands way more.

I'm surprised he hasn't been the 6th man. Clearly is the best role for him on his team. This should just allow Harden to reduce his minutes/workload and for Houston to have a fresh playmaker every lineup change.

If he totally busts, the good news is that they gave up relatively little to get him (just one first round pick & some 12-15 men, right?). Plus that contract is non-guaranteed. $12M is a good chunk of change for salary matching purposes for a mid-season trade, if they go that route.
