Just looking at the box score here looks he had a nice night. Looks like he's making some GREAT decisions out there. Nice to see :applause:
Rubio off the bench?

He shouldn't play PG. And when Rubio's out, they should give Tyus Jones those mins. I love Andre Miller but they need to develop the young guys.

Dude has been killing for the past 4 or 5 games. Emerging as the best player on the wolves

He's a bad point guard end of story. He should be playing as a shooting guard with someone else on the court distributing. When you watch them play he creates for himself but can't do it for anyone else yet and the rest of the team suffers for it. Good talent and playing really well but they need Rubio running the point.

How could you possibly know this only going by the box score? :oldlol:
Dude is actually a pretty awful decision maker. Not a PG, being forced to play PG. He's an awful defender and can't run an offense, needs to be used exclusively as a scoring burst off the bench. His 25 is about as impactful as a Jamal Crawford 25 pt night. Rubio is by far the most important player on that team, they absolutely need him starting.

Rubio is a much better PG for this team. Zach fits in as a nice 6th man.

This. I guess they're stuck with Rubio out but it's not pretty watching him run a teams offensive sets, they definitely suffer for it. I suppose they hope they'll be growing pains, but as a PG, it's pretty painful watching him at times.

Rubio is more suited to be a traffic cop than a PG. Zach's got the length to bother others with his D and he's got the thickness to penetrate.

Pretty flaccid take honestly.

So hard to watch him, such a contrast in basketball abilities.
Smooth as silk skill wise with great moves but he might be the worst defender and have the lowest IQ in NBA history.
He murders the Wolves when he is on the court, absolutely murders them. Hopefully they are showcasing him for a trade.

The kid can ball, thats for sure. Hopefully He will develop a better game understanding in the next years. He is like the anti-Rubio, pure athleticism and empty stats with 0 control of the tempo and shitty decision maker.

Zach is a horrible defender and rubio is way better defensively :facepalm

Boxscore watchers over here. Lavine is one of the dumbest players out there. A terrible defender too. All Wolves fan have been complaining about him, one game doesnt change his suckiness. Needs to be consistent.

Actually healthy Rubio is top 5 defender among PGs, but He is white so He should be soft...

:lol
Tyus jones is easily the worse defender at his position in the league
He didnt even bother trying to defend Curry

He didnt even bother trying to defend CurryHe knows how to play PG on offense better than Lavine. Also when did I say that he can defend better than Lavine or anybody for that reason?
Why trade up to draft a back up PG and then give the back up PG mins to an old vet who likely won't be there next year and a guy clearly suited to play SG only?

Nuance but w/e lol.
KG's also helpful since he's the real coach of the team :lol

Yeah, by far was an exaggeration on my part. Wiggins/Towns are def close. I'm talking at the moment btw, as in who makes the biggest difference in terms of wins and losses right now. Wiggins and Towns are obviously by far the most important pieces going forward.
I just think Rubio gives them so much more structure offensively, without him it's just a clusterf*ck of inexperience. And defensively it's night and day b/w him and Lavine. TWolves play like an actual team with him.

Anybody know if Rubio's injury is something troublesome going forward or are they being super cautious? Also, since he seems to get banged up easily/frequently, it would be great if they used their recently-drafted backup PG to get some experience. He'd still help the tank I'd imagine, which they're doing to do without Rubio on the court.

Other than stealth tank I don't get why they put him there at extended mins. Maybe Mitchell really doesn't know this guy can't be a PG

Are you ****ing retarded or something? Im responding to the fact that you said Tyus should get minutes. He should not see the floor at all if Minnesota wants to win because he is a complete LIABILITY on defense. He can run a team but he cant run with a dude on the defensive end. Guys made this guy look like a teenager on the defensive end in summer league and pre season when he got extended minutes

You can't fix stupid. Lavine will be a microwave scorer who should NEVER have any decision making ability when it comes to running an offense. He has to play the two to be succesful.

He has great ability as a scorer. I could see a Monta Ellis type career for him.
Shouldn't be handling the ball as much as he does though.
