Gets blown out at home to the Celtics.

Seems like you had to wait 10 games until he had a bad game and you could hate on WB.

OKC is straight garbage without KD.
KD is the best player in the world along with Curry.
No surprise here.

Westbrook went from overly criticized to incredibly overrated in about the span of a year.

From watching the game, Boston seemed a lot more worried on defence having to deal with Westbrook than how comfortable they looked when he wasn't out there.

Westbrook had a bad game but let's not act like his game is heavily reliant on free throws. He attacks. Harden is a different story, so no it's not a double standard. Westbrook is rated fine, he's a top 5 player that peaks at top 2 when he is going well.
Besides, OKC was winning when Westbrook went to the bench. He comes back into a mess with OKC already down 7.

as ive been saying, westbrook is a cancer just like iverson. Remember when OKC was the no. 1 in the entire league without westbrook then westbrook came back and almost became no. 3 in the west and couldve been eliminated in the 1st round. Durant plays better without westbrook.

this game solidified something in kevin durant's mind
"maybe i should go to boston to win some championships"
it is now inevitable
but the celts are a tough matchup for westbrook and the other penetrating guards on okc
marcus smart and avery bradley and jae crowder are furious

Perhaps Boston will get gamethreads next year if they sign Durant and trade for cousins. Or nets win lottery for us. Future looks bright.

You do know Westbrook attempts more FT's per 36 minutes than Harden does right? Last season anyway. Getting to the line is absolutely a huge facet of his game considering how terrible his shooting is. Just because he's athletic and can dunk on anyone doesn't mean he doesn't drive recklessly to the rim praying for bailout calls.

it sure does
marcus smart has quickly become one of my favourite guys in the league. his offensive game looks way more polished this year. he made a few tough jumpers without much time.
plus all those assets? plus the name brand recognition of the organization? plus the 2nd best head coach in the league?
future is bright indeed
but i swear to god i'll root against them with all my heart the second they unload olynyk

We should compile their record for when Westbrook was the only missing starter as well to further substantiate the point. Seriously, by doing a cursory search of his missed games in 2013-14, it looks like one of their more memorable winning streaks. :confusedshrug:
Nothing against Russell Westbrook; he's still one of the best players in the league at peak value. His inconsistencies over a sizeable stretch of the season, however, will always engulf a shadow of doubt over his leadership in comparison to Kevin Durant.

Durant stans are truly the scum of the earth. At least Kobe, Lebron and Curry have fvcking won championships. All Durant did was get there ONCE, get his shit pushed in, and hasn't returned since. Durant and Melo are basically on the same level, but I'll at least give Melo credit for getting as far as he did without a Westbrook-style talent with him.
Fvck Durant and fvck OP.
