Who you taking?

Davis has the better stats now, but porzingis has the better impact. Who would you take to build your franchise around.

The answer is fairly simple. It starts with a P and ends with a GOAT.

Davis, Towns, Porzingis.

Why are you always making threads about Anthony Davis? :lol

Anyway, this is a dumb topic. You're just living in the moment. Porzingis may have a bright future, but none of us are really sure what kind of player he'll be once he hits his prime. I mean, he could just be a 17/9 guy his whole career or... he could also be putting up 24/10. Basically like another Dirk. Bottom line, we aren't sure at all. Anthony Davis is already an established superstar and he's going to get even better considering how he's barely into his 20s. Just because one guy's team has more wins than the other, doesn't mean he's the better player. Put AD on the Knicks and they'd easily be in the top 3 or 4 for the East. Put Porzingis on the Pelicans and they'd have the same W/L record as the 76ers. That is all.

Of course if it was a trade straight up for AD, I'd have to do it. But for the first time in forever, Knicks got one of these young guns with the sky as the limit. He's no one else's, he's ours. Excitement

Exactly. For once in a long time, we have a really promising rookie who has a really high ceiling if he fills out correctly and doesn't lose his shooting touch.

Phil definitely made the right call. Although, I'm sure anyone who watched his Euro highlights didn't think he could drop 29 pts 11 rbs in one game during his first 12 games of his career. I originally didn't like the pick because he looked way too weak for the NBA game and looked far too raw within 10 feet.

The team looks good this year. I do like Jerian Grant too. Hustle, aggressive, reckless young PG with great size/above average athleticism.

Here's a quote from the draft night thread

Kill me now. On my way to the nearest bridge

here's you after watching his workout video:

DO NOT WANT. I don't trust Euro big men, 9 out of 10 are scrubs with hype to be the next Dirk or Pau. Plz Knicks stay away.

His combination of length, athleticism, and shooting are crazy.

My projection: Poor Man's KG (KG minus the insane dedication to D)

Zingis just has that natural dominance about him which Davis lacks.
For now Davis is the better player but Zingis will surpass him soon.

Zingis >>> Davis

This is quite possibly the stupidest thread ever, with a great many of the worst posts. Zinger goes 29/11 and he is better than a guy that has gone 26/15/4, 43/10/3/4/3, 36/11/4bl in his last 6 games? A 1st team All - NBA player?

GTFO. NOW.

Knicks fans make my head spin.

In response to the topic, it's too early to tell. I would have health concerns with AD, even though he's phenomenal. KP has only a few games under his belt, but I haven't seen too many weaknesses with his game. If he can avoid injury, I take him over Davis.

Both are close to being my two favorite players.

Davis, though.

Porzningis seems to have insane potential. People compare him to Dirk, but Nowitzki never had this level of defensive upside.

Davis is having a down year, but hes 22 and every flaw he has right now will be seriously worked on. Flaws are usually habits, he's young, he can break them. Some great USA camps under his belt and he'll be a ****ing monster by the time he's 25-26. Only thing is injury proneness which worries me.

Can't wait to see these guys battle in the future.

His overall efficiency will likely rise & stabilize as he gets more acclimated to the league and starts really developing his game and his overall offensive approach.
Dirk was worse over his first 12 games.

Dirk : 7.4-ppg on 43%TS --- (2 games with 110+ ORTG) (17% TOV)
Zingas : 12.8-ppg on 49%TS --- (6 games with 110+ ORTG) (10% TOV)
